Jen's POV:
A few hours later, Josh's parents, as well as the entire Hunger Games cast including Francis, have been informed of the incident this morning. Liam even comes over to my house to "talk to me".
I open the door. Liam looks nervous and worried. He doesn't say anything, he just instantly pulls me into a hug. He steps in and closes the door, pulling me into another hug. It's at this point, I think, that I start breaking down again.
"Shh.. Jennifer. It's alright. Josh is gonna be okay." Liam says in his perfect Australian accent. His accent makes me laugh a little. Just the way he said Josh's name...
Josh.
Nope. Nevermind. I'm breaking down again.
Liam hugs me tighter. "He loves you, Jen. He's told me." I look up at him. He puts his giant thumb on my cheek and wipes a tear away. I smile when I realize how much taller Liam is than me. I normally have to look down at Josh. "What..What do you mean he told you?" He pulls out his phone. He unlocks it, opens the messages and scrolls down a little ways to Josh's texts. He scrolls up a bit on the convo and hands me the phone.*
"Josh: Dude if u tell her anything bro I will personally see to it that Gale doesn't get any more bread from Peeta.
Liam: I promise I wont tell dude
Josh:..well yea. I do like her."
My mouth opens, but no words come out. Instead, I make a sound of disbelief, with a small laugh from the comment from Josh about Peeta and his bread.I sniff a few times. Finally, I speak. "Well. So much for your promise, huh?" He laughs. "Yeah. I guess so."
I rest my head on Liam's chest as we stand there. "You see now? Josh would do what he did this morning for you all over again. Why? Because he's totally into you." I smile weakly at him. "Now, Jennifer.. This makes me wonder. What do you think about him?" He smirks.
"Oh god, where do I even begin?" I tell him honestly. "He's attractive. Attractive being an understatement." Liam smiles at me. "Sexy?" He asks. "VERY sexy!" I grin. "He's kind, he's funny, he's patient, he's sweet, he's caring, he's selfless..." I trail off. Liam grins at me. "Yup. You totally like him. Alot." He comments. Sniffing again, I blush. "Yeah.."
"Well, why don't you two just hook up?" He smirks. "Its not that easy, Liam. He may still have a thing for Claudia." Liam gives me a look. "Seriously?" He asks. "Would he defend Claudia against Chris Martin the way he defended you?" I pause. "Well, Claudia would probably kick his ass before Josh even stood up." Liam sighs. "Okay, well let's just say she didn't." I think it over. "He'd probably leave some of the fighting to her." "Exactly!" Liam says.
"You know, Liam." I point out. Liam looks at me curiously. "I'm surprised Josh didn't just treat Chris like he was Peeta strangling Katniss again." Liam laughs. "Josh isn't a hothead. That's why." He responds. "Peeta Mellark? Maybe... In Mockingjay, of course. Josh Hutcherson? No. Not at all." I nod in agreement. "No doubt he tried reasoning with Chris first?" I nod. "See? Josh is no hothead." I smile. "He's not."
I hug Liam one more time. "Thank you, Liam. For helping me sort all this out." He smiles. "No problem, Catnip." I grin. We spend a few more hours watching movies and eating snacks, talking during the commercials. Then, Liam has to leave. Apparently, his brother set up a little surprise "date" with one of his co-stars. Liam pulls on his coat and hugs me again. "Good luck, Liam." I tell him. "..and may the odds be ever in your favor." We say this at the same time, smiling at eachother before Liam shuts the door on the cold December afternoon.
