Break Out! Break Out! - All Time Low---------------------------------------------
Once Luke had tidied up the mess he made, ignoring the questioning looks he got from Michael and Calum as he was sat on the kitchen floor surrounded by cornflakes, he went straight back to his room and crawled into bed, despite the fact he still had plenty of time to make it to his lecture on time.
He felt like if this much could go wrong in just over an hour, then the rest of the day didn't look too promising. It was probably for the best to be honest, it would only end in tears - no doubt Luke's.
Considering the vast amount of sleep Luke had had that night you wouldn't think that he'd physically be able to sleep anymore, this however was not the case, as Luke slept for a further four hours. Probably worn out from the stress of the morning.
By the time he woke up it was nearly one in the afternoon and so Luke decided to try again. This time his movement were a lot more cautious and gentle, he was scared to break something. He gently opened his bedroom door by his fingertips and then did the same with the door to the kitchen, to anyone looking in on him from the outside he must've looked like a right twat, moving so carefully and slowly he appeared to be in slow motion.
Over half an hour later Luke had finally made himself a sandwich, which he ate in the kitchen, pleased at himself for not fucking anything up. He was the only one in the kitchen which surprised him, it was still what he considered as 'lunch-time'. Luke assumed that his flatmates had heard him go into the kitchen (the walls in their flat were very thin) and were avoiding him after the weird breakdown he had that morning.
Once Luke had finished his lunch and tidied up with no hiccoughs he felt a lot more confident in his ability to control is abnormal abilities and decided to venture out on a walk. He headed towards Regent's Park after having changed into joggers and a jumper as he had slept in his skinny jeans and was feeling uncomfortable.
It took Luke just over ten minutes to walk to the park, the winter air was refreshing, as well as fucking cold - it was January nevertheless he took the opportunity to jog through the park. Forty-five minutes later Luke decided that he had had enough exercise and headed home, pleasantly surprised at how he wasn't out of breath at all.
It was as he was walking along the last stretch of road before he heard his name being called.
"Luke? LUKE!?" Luke turned towards the source of the voice to see Tamsyn coming out of their local supermarket, carrying what must've been her weekly shopping. He was pleased that she made the effort to talk to him after he had been rude to her the previous day.
Luke waited for Tamsyn to catch him up before offering to carry a couple of her bags. He had worn gloves, after figuring out that stuff kept sticking to his hands.
"It's okay, I've got it thanks." Tamsyn politely declined his offer.
"Hey just let me help," Luke smiled down at Tamsyn, "Plus I was an asshole to you yesterday - I'm so so sorry about that by the way - so it's the least I can do." She conceded, slipping a couple of the plastic carrier bags into Luke's outstretched (and gloved) hands.
"It's fine don't worry about it. How are you feeling? You weren't in the lecture this morning..." Luke was relieved that he hadn't ruined the only friendship he had in his class.
"I'm better now thanks, I'm not sure what came over me. I didn't mean to snap at you, honest."
"Seriously, it's fine, you weren't feeling great, I get it." Luke appreciated how understanding Tamsyn was being, and told her as much. It seemed it was just in her personality to be lovely to everyone.
