The (Shipped) Gold Standard - Fall Out Boy

———————————————————-

The next day when Tamsyn turned up to their lecture Luke noted that she looked tired and pissed off, and she wasn't bothering to hide it.

Luke felt guilty as she slumped into her usual seat next to him. (He was there before her which was rare.) Her hair was tied up in a loose, messy ponytail and there was dark circles under her eyes. Although she still managed to pull off the sleep-deprived look, it just made her look cute.

"Are you okay?" Luke asked in a whisper. Tamsyn had literally turned up just on time and their lecturer was trying to quiet everyone down.

"I'm fine." She replied with gritted teeth. Luke laughed at how obvious it was that she wasn't fine.

"Yeah I'm sure you are." he said playfully, rolling his eyes. Tamsyn glared at him. "I'm sorry, do you want to talk about it? He asked.

Tamsyn paused in thought for a second before replying. "It's quite complicated, can we talk about it later? It's revision at yours tonight isn't it?"

"Yeah, sure we can talk about it then." Luke replied.

"Thanks." Tamsyn smiled. "It's basically about this guy who I think may be messing me about. You can't repeat anything I tell you later though, okay?"

"I wont, I promise." Luke said as they both settled down and concentrated on the lecture. They both had missed the first ten minutes of content due to their lack of attention.

They both went their separate ways home after their lecture; Luke needed to do his weekly food shop, and Tamsyn needed a book from the Library. They had agreed to meet at Luke's flat to study at four that afternoon.

Luke successfully completed his weekly food shop for less than £20, including snacks for Tamsyn and him to eat whilst revising. He was finally getting the hang of budgeting.

Just before four Tamsyn knocked on the door to Luke's flat. Typically he had decided that he was desperate for the toilet at that exact point in time and so left it down to Amy to let her in. Luckily all his flatmates were aware of their study sessions and they all knew Tamsyn from the times their two flats had gone out together.

Tamsyn had layed out all her notes and books by the time Luke had gotten back. Luke made them both drinks and got out the snacks he had bought earlier. They worked quietly for fifteen minutes, talking only about their work as Amy, Grace, Lauren and Chloe hung about the kitchen, making themselves an early dinner before they went out for the night.

Half an hour later the kitchen was empty, and Tamsyn and Luke had worked through a fair chunk of revision.
