Clean - Taylor Swift

---------------------------------------

It had been a week since Luke had been caught by Tamsyn on the balcony of their halls and he had not seen her since, apart from lectures and seminars and after their slight fall out they hadn't talked to each other at all. It was all very awkward.

Luke wasn't sure what to do with himself during the painful hours in which he sat next to her. Her body language made it quite clear that she didn't want to talk to him, so he didn't even consider trying.

Tamsyn would leave the lessons in record time, Luke, with his powers could easily have caught her up but he thought it was best not to try. Besides them not talking was working well for him as there was much less of a chance that he would give himself away. He did, however, regret that it was his fault that they were on bad terms.

He also didn't have any other encounters with Tamsyn or anyone else on the balcony. Which was a welcome relief, it was good to know that it wasn't a regular thing for Tamsyn to hang out on the balcony in the middle of the night dressed in a very tight clothes.

Luke couldn't help but think about  how good Tamsyn looked in her dress. But he felt guilty about it, she was supposd to be his friend and he was being a complete sexist pig, thinking about her body in that way.

It had been a long week for Luke, he was exhausted. It felt like the more well known he became the more people seemed to be committing crimes as if to challenge him. There was at least one robbery a night, but thankfully they were mostly unarmed, although there was an occasional guy brandishing a knife. It was nothing Luke couldn't handle.

He also managed to draw a crowd almost every time. No matter what ridiculous time in the morning it was. Through social media, whenever there was a particularly interesting event involving Spider-Man and someone who thought they could out smart him, news spread fast.

Luke found it quite amusing that the crowds seemed to mostly consist of young women, mostly his age. They would gather round in small groups and giggle, often asking for a picture. Luke really appreciated the gesture, but most of the time these girls would just get in his way and make things more difficult for him.

That night at around twelve Luke slowly made his way back to his halls. It was earlier than usual but he was so tired he couldn't bring himself to stay out any longer. All week he hadn't had any run-ins with Tamsyn on the balcony, so he figured that it must have been a one-off thing.

However as he strolled down the street leading up to the entrance of his building he was able to see Tamsyn quite clearly. The light in her room was on and so he was able to see her defined silhouette as she sat, leant against her window, with a book in her lap.

Luke was almost certain that he wouldn't have been able to see her so clearly from his distance without his super-vision. He was able to see that she was wearing much more weather suitable clothes than the last time; a large pullover jumper and leggings. She even had a blanket pulled across her lap and more importantly, she had socks and shoes on.

Not wanting to startle Tamsyn, Luke climbed up on to the balcony as quietly as he could, as well as a few feet away from where she was sitting. She looked up as he swiftly jumped over the railing and landed lightly on his feet.

Tamsyn smiled up at Luke and he waved in return, aware that she wouldn't be able to read his facial expressions under his mask. He hovered before a few seconds before asking Tamsyn if he could sit with her.
