SEPTEMBER 1, 1971
AURORA'S POV
"GRYFFINDOR"
the Gryffindor table cheered. I got up from the stool and made my way to the long table and sitting directly in front of Lily. The headmaster Dumbledore made a speech welcoming up, then the feast began. The large table filled with the tastiest of foods spread throughout, it smelled like heaven.
I began to fill my plate when I turned to the boy beside me.
"s'cuse me.. can you pass me the green beans, please?"
The boy beside him answered "green beans!? Reckon you've gone mad"
He looked exactly like the boy beside me, both quite tall, red hair, big smiles, "don't mind him" the other responded passing me the bowl.
"I'm Gideon, this is Fabian" "Prewett," they both said synchronized.
"Aurora.. nice to meet you"

The feast ended and the first years were lead to Gryffindor tower.
"Petunia Major" the Prefect boy spoke to a painting of a rather large woman, before letting us in.
"This is the Gryffindor common room, through here there are two staircases, one leading to the boys' dormitories and one leading to the girls... mind you no boys are to step foot on the girls' staircase as it will turn to a slide"
"wicked if you ask me" I whispered to the boy next to me.
The group separated, boys going to their dorms and girls going to ours, Lily and I walked the steps until we reached a hall of doors. We made our way down the hall and stopped at a door with a piece of parchment pinned to the door. On the sign wrote:

Residents include:
Lily Evans
Alice Fortescue
Marlene Mckinnon
Aurora Rose
There are to be no students beyond the common room from 10:00 pm-6:00 am. NO FOOD in the dormitories. Your luggage has already been escorted to your rooms.
Welcome to Hogwarts
"NO FOOD! What is this bull sh- " a voice yelled from behind us, startling me.
"Hi, I'm Marlene.. I guess I'm your roommate" the blonde extended her hand and shook mine and Lily's
"h-hi, I'm Lily, this is Aurora"
"Nice to meet you Marlene", we smiled at each other before entering the dorm. Inside were four beds with red sheets, our luggage beside our designated beds(mines by the window, YAY) and a girl, I could only assume would be Alice. She had brown, boy-cut hair and kind eyes.
"You guys must be my dorm mates, I've been wondering when you guys were gonna come" she laughed, "I'm Alice by the way"
we introduced ourselves and made ourselves at home before getting to know each other more.
Marlene's very pretty, we have the same sense of humour which I liked and she has four brothers.
Alice is very kind and gentle, she's a pureblood like me and wants to be an aurora when she's older.
The girls were shocked when I pulled out my wand, they said they've heard stories from their parents or grandparents about merlin and his legacy but thought they were just children's stories, like the deathly hollows.
" wow.. so it is true.." Alice said.
I nodded. Afterwards, we got ready to start our first day of classes tomorrow.
"are you all excited.. for tomorrow?" lily asked
"I know I am, but it'll be weird, it's my first birthday without my parents there, and to have school on top of that... I don't know if I'm nervous or excited" I replied
"TOMORROWS YOUR BIRTHDAY!" the three girls said in unison
"that's definitely exciting... I sure hope there's cake tomorrow.. or I might just have to walk down to the kitchen and make one myself" I laughed at the blonde girl
I giggled "Marlene if there isn't birthday cake I think ill be barging into the kitchens with you"

A/N: I know these first few chapters haven't been very interesting but I promise you once the book gets rolling there will be much much more drama!
