CHRISTMAS BREAK
DECEMBER 24, 1975
AURORAS POV
Time passed within the year and it was now yule break. I was on the train with the girls. I was supposed to be staying at Hogwarts for Christmas because you know but this year Lily had invited me to spread the break with her and her family, which I couldn't be happier about.
" Aurora I think something is seriously wrong with Sirius" Marlene explained
"He hasn't tried to flirt with me or Dorcas all month" she continued. this made me smile. I knew he wasn't trying anything with any girls because he liked me, however, they didn't need to know that yet.
"Mar, maybe he's just realized he shouldn't be flirting with you and your girlfriend" I teased a little, Marlene had come out in September, therefore Alice and Lily knew now too.
Marlene rolled her eyes playfully,
"shes not my girlfriend, Dorcas is just a friend"
I turned to Lily and whispered in her ear "for now", making us both smile.
just then the compartment door slid open revealing four familiar boys once again.
"hello Lilypad, came to wish you a happy Christmas" James flirted, sitting down, squeezing between me and Lily.
lily had a discussed look on her face which everyone besides her and James found amusing.
"go away, Potter"
"aw my dear Lily, how you hurt me," he said getting up clutching his heart.
The boys began to leave when Sirius turned around and wished me a happy Christmas with a charming smile, which I returned. the moment they were out of the compartment and the door closed lily exclaimed,
"toerag, when he going to get it"
Alice giggled, " Lily it's been 5 years, I'm guessing never" making lily huff in defeat.
The Hogwarts express arrived at the platform, lily and I said goodbye to our friends and wished them a happy Christmas before setting off to find Lily's parents. This made me smile in nostalgia, the first time I was here ready for Christmas break I was with my parents, and after lily met them she set off frantically to find hers, just like she was doing now, a couple of years later.
"there they are!" she yelled pointing at an older couple. Lily's parents were quite a bit older than most, they had Lily later than parents usually do, explaining the age gap between Lily and her sister Petunia.
"Lily, calm down the whole station can hear you"
"Sorry, I'm just really excited, my parents have been meaning to meet you and I won't be the only witch at home now," she said quickly, grabbing my wrist and pulling me to her parents.
"MOM!DAD!" she said giving them a big hug. she let go and introduced me to the older couple. they were very kind and even gave me a hug too.
"The famous Aurora, nice to finally meet you, Lily has told us so much" Mrs. Evans greeted warmly.
After that, we left in a muggle car. I was used to travelling this way because I used to take a car to the train station every year, September 1 and June 28th, well every year until my fourth.
Half an hour or so we arrived at Lily's home, it was a normal muggle-sized home, she had many many neighbours, unlike mine, which I kind of liked. we got inside and I was welcomed by a fluffy white cat named daisy, well her and Petunia.
