JULY 10, 1978
After that night, when Remus agreed to move in with Aurora, he never slept anywhere else, they shared her childhood bedroom as their own. At first, Remus started to draw back from the idea, he felt that by being there longer than everyone else hed put her in danger, that when the full moon came around he would hurt her.
"moony look at me, you're fine, I'll put enchantments on the house so you can't get in until morning... honestly you couldn't have a better place to transform, the forests here go for miles without even a single passing soul. You can run and explore and not have to risk anything" she assured him multiple times.
Remus couldn't deny that he still felt scared on the inside but he pushed it down, he wouldn't let his fear get away from the only person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
The group sat together on the main floor by the fire waiting for the others to come through the floor network so they can go right back through it.
Dorcas and Marlene were the first to arrive.
Then Mary.
Alice and Frank came last.
Once everyone was there Aurora sat them all on the couch,
"Before we go I need you guys to understand what your getting yourselves into-" the room went silent except for her,"-Out there is a war, it's not like defence against the dark arts class where if a scary boggart pops up, the teacher will get rid of it for you... it's real, there's no saving, no second chances... no one in the order would judge you if you decided to back out"
She studied their faces, she watched as a nervous look appeared on peters face as he contemplated what he wanted to do. She hoped if he spoke up, the others would follow him and she wouldn't have to worry about the chance that her friends might die out there. It was no use, Peter suppressed his fear, he was scared but he didn't want to let his friends down.
She let go of a huff, "fine, but I'm warning you now, the moment we step into the meeting you're expected to fight for your lives and if things get really bad you have to be willing to kill to protect yourselves and others. Do you understand?"
The group's faces paled but they shook their heads.
"Well then, what are we waiting for-" everyone got up from their feet and lined upfront of the fireplace, "I'll go first, follow after me..."
She stepped into the fireplace with floor powder in her hand. She looked up and met Remus' eyes, "94 Scarlett lane, Attakin village" she spoke loud and clear, throwing the power at her feet. The green flames swallowed her body and she found herself in the familiar wooden living room with the dusty couches and mirror so old you could barely see your own reflection.
She ventured into the room further, making room for the rest. One by one each of them walked through the flames dusting off their clothes. They seemed to all have the same reaction to headquarters, the moment the processed where they were, they gripped their wands with dear life.
