Before you start reading I just want to say I'm sorry...you may not know why I am saying it just yet but believe me at the end of this chapter you will hate my guts😅😂

Winter...

It was just me and Thomas now. Watching after the slowly dying girl. The wheezing sounds coming from my own sister were slowly breaking me. I was kneeled down in front of her, scanning her face. I put a hand under her chin to lift her head a little. The gooey, black blood staining my hand but I didn't care. I drowned in the hurt of my sister's eyes. The pools of dark green consumed me, I felt lost. This is not the person I have grown up with.

"Winter, we gotta go. We can't stay here." Thomas said looking around. The riot was getting heated. It was only a matter of time before we will get ambushed by someone here. I moved closer to Summer, putting my hands on her shoulders in order to lift her up but she stopped me, looking up at me with the most broken expression.

"Win, I can't do this. It hurts." She sobbed tears beginning to fall from her eyes. What should I tell her? I know it hurts. I know this must be agonizing but it is agonizing for me as well because I can't help her.

"I know Summer."

"Make it stop. Please. Winter, I can't do this..." I know what she means by those words and that will not be happening on my watch.

"Yes, you can. You are strong. You are a shucking woman so pull yourself together. We will get you the serum. Just hold on. You can't do this to Newt, Summer. And you can't do this to me and Minho." I ordered her sternly, shaking her shoulders slightly. I am being harsh to mask the fact that I am about to break into tears. "Come on, let's get you up," I said already ready to hoist her up when Thomas stopped me.

"Hold on." He leaned towards the holster Summer had on her side and pulled her gun from there handing it to me. My eyes widening in shock when I felt the familiar, heavy, cold metal in my hand. "I will carry her, you cover us," Thomas said. It sounded logical and even though I was slightly skeptical about the gun in my hand I listened to his command. Let's hope my simulation wasn't a vision from the future.

It was a hard process filled with lots of growling and coughing but we managed to get Summer at least towards the abandoned station. But from there it started going downhill. Up till now, Summer was at least able to somehow hold herself on her feet but once we made it here, her legs were completely giving out on her. I watched as she suddenly went limp in Thomas' arms.

The dark-haired boy panicked, calling her name desperately trying to wake her up. I raced over to them, the gun still in my hand as I put my ear against my sister's chest to check the beating of her heart. I could feel slightly rising and falling of her chest as well, but other than that she was still. Only a silent groans coming from her.

"This doesn't look good," I commented, looking sadly at Thomas. We won't move much further like this. Summer is out like a light. There is no telling if she will even wake up anymore. Thomas, realizing the situation quite well, stood up, angrily kicking the single little pebble that was on the ground.

Stressed and overwhelmed by the emotions and past events he let out a desperate yell as he walked a bit farther. His hand going up towards his hair angrily pulling on them. I on the other hand focused on the fragile girl that was lying here in front of me. I moved her to lay on her side, just in case she would start choking.

More dark substance coming from her parted lips, creating a black pool by her mouth in an instant. Her hair was a mess, some sticking to her sweaty forehead, others tangled or sticking in different directions. Her pale, ghost-like skin almost permeable as it allowed a clear view in the spiderwebs of dark veins that were crawling up her neck towards her cheek.
