Kit King
"Kit don't! You'll get nothing out of it!" George yelled as I made my way to the courtyard.
I didn't listen of course.
I saw red.
I would kill him.

I marched on but a figure stepped out infront of me and grabbed my shoulders.
"Draco move."
"You're acting out of anger and it's not going to end well for anyone." He said and I felt hot tears fall onto my cheeks.
"He deserves to die."
"He has the power to kill you first."
"I don't care. At least I'll die trying."

I pushed past him and continued on my war path.
As I got to the doorway I saw a group of death eaters start to gather on the bridge.
I growled as I saw my mother and father stood at the front of the group.
"Kit please-" Molly started to say as she put a hand on my shoulder.
I shrugged her off quickly and stormed forward.

As I got closer to the group I pulled out my wand and started to fire any spell that came into my head.
"How fucking dare you!" I screamed as people cleared and I was left face to face with my parents.
"What the hell is this about?!" Father yelled.
"You killed him!" I yelled as I fired a spell that father managed to block.
"Who?!"
"Fred." I said with a shaking bottom lip.
"And what?!"
"I cared for him! I cared for him so much. We used to date. But would you know? No! Because you don't give a shit about me!" I said and fired countless spells.
"Kit please stop this!" Mother yelled.
"Incarcerous." I said and pointed at the two.

Both my parents looked scared which brought me a small amount of satisfaction.
"Give me one good reason i shouldn't kill you both right now."
"Kit please don't do this." Mother sighed.
"Not a great reason is it."
"Kit! This is insane!"
"No! No you know what's insane? The fact that my own parents tortured me. Hurt me. Belittle me. Kill my friends. You're not my parents anymore I'll tell you that."
"You have nowhere to go." Father laughed and I raised my wand.
Before I could fire a spell a hand grabbed my wrist.
"Yes she does." I turned and saw Molly stood by my side. "We love her as our own. You both don't deserve a daughter like her. But she has a family in us."
I smiled through my anger and tears.
"Come on now dear. This isn't going to bring anyone back is it? Fred wouldn't want you to do this." Molly said and I nodded.
"Ok." I said simply and walked back to my family with Mollys arms around me.

I didn't give my parents a last look before making my way back into the doorway of Hogwarts.
I sat down and let out the sob that had been rattling in me all this time.
I flopped down onto the floor and just cried.
I let out all the emotions I had been holding in.
"Bet that felt good." Draco said as he sat beside me.
"It hurts." I cried and he opened his arms as I crawled into his lap.
"I'm so sorry Kit. I'm so sorry." He said as he cradled me tight.
"The pain."
"Shh it's ok I'm here now. I'm here."
"This has to be over soon. Surely." I sniffled.

Before Draco could say a response, I heard the words that I never wanted to hear.
"Harry Potter is dead!"
I closed my eyes for a moment and Draco scrambled to his feet.
He pulled me up and intertwined our fingers as he pulled me back into the courtyard, where all the death eaters were gathered and Harrys body lay in Hagrid's arms.
"Join me." Voldemort said, clearly looking at the two of us, bringing me back down into my senses.
"Draco, come." Dracos mother and father said but I gripped onto his hand tightly.
"Kit" he whispered.
"You go and you loose me." I whispered with tears in my eyes.
"No. I was just going to say I love you." He said and I couldn't help but smile as people around us almost looked relieved, few even smiled.
"I'm staying. Here. With Kit." Draco said and my heart swelled for a moment.
"Cowards! Traitors! You're both traitors to your blood. To your kind. And you two deserve to be the first to die!" Voldemort yelled.

Unexpectedly, and to everyone's great relief, Harry jumped out of Hagrid's arms.
He was alive.
I grinned, looking straight at my parents.
I knew this was all going to be over soon.
We would be free.
We wouldn't have to worry about our safety ever again.

Draco's hand slipped out of mine and I frowned as he began to walk over to his parents.
My heart raced.
No.
No he can't be.
He can't do this.
"Draco..." I said barely above a whisper.
But that's when the anger kicked in.
"Draco!" I yelled and started my march towards the Malfoys.
As I got closer I stopped in my tracks.
"Go and hide. I don't want either of you hurt. I'll be ok." Draco said and I sighed.
I hated how I assumed too quickly.
"Kit. Come." Lucius said and my breath hitched in my throat.
I slowly walked to meet them on the bridge and Draco's arm immediately went around my waist.
"You two be safe. Don't take risks. Fall in love like kids your age are meant to." Narcissa said and I nodded.
"We will."
"And I apologise for everything. I will always regret how I treated you. Both of you. So, just, just be safe." Lucius said and I nodded.
Draco gave each of them a last hug before they walked away.
"Oh, and if there's a wedding, or grandchildren, please do contact us." Narcissa smiled and I couldn't help but laugh.
But I could tell Draco was upset as we watched them walk away.
"Hey, we'll be ok and so will they. I promise."I smiled and he nodded.
"As long as I'm with you, and we have each other, I know everything will be ok."
