Part 35 i let the man die, he's dead

Queens POV
I heard Forsythe (the king) yell. "Honey stay here I'm going to go check on your father" I told Oakley as I ran out. I only saw Forsythe. "Where is Cole?" I asked worried. "He ran out there! He's convinced it's lili out there! The people were begging for help! What if it's a trap, what if our son is going to die!" He exclaimed worried. Fear came as across me. "Have you heard anything?" I asked. He put his finger on his mouth signaling me to be quiet as he put his ear to the metal door.

"I love you so much, please be okay" we heard our sons cries. It was lili. Was she hurt? Forsythe gave me a shocked look. We kept listening. "Please I'm sorry, please just wake up. I love you so much" his voice begged."

We were both in complete awe. Never have we seen him like this with anyone!

Soon the attack ended. We were both really worried! Is he okay? Why is he still out there. After all the girls left, Forsythe opened the door, to see what happened. First he was met by a dead body on the floor. Dried blood all over.

Then looking farther down the hallway we saw what looked like people. As we got closer we could see it was cole and lili. They were both asleep and lili was straddling Cole. We just stood there for a few minutes in awe of how much he loved her, before leaving them be and going back to our rooms. We had left the door open and had a maid waiting there for when they woke up.

Lilis POV
I woke up with a pain shooting pain in my leg. Where am I? I blinked my eyes open. I was sitting on Coles lap. He was awake looking at me as his hand played with my hair. "Where are we" I said trying not to cry from the pain.

"There was a rebel attack last night, and you were begging to come in the safe room. But we couldn't let you in, because we thought you were in the hospital wing, and the person outside was a rebel trying to come in. But then you were yelling and I could tell it was your voice, so I went to let you in, and you were passed out on the stairs, so I took you in my arms and we fell asleep here" He explained as worry came to my face. I suddenly remembered everything.

"Nooo no, i let the man die, he's dead!" I broke down i Coles chest. He rubbed my back. "Love you didn't kill him, a rebel shot him" he comforted me and kissed my forehead.

Coles POV
I felt terrible! This is all my fault! "But I did, I could have gone and gotten help, but I was such a baby, and was crying" she cried more. "Lili. You're so strong! And you're not a baby. There was nothing you could have done!" I reassured her as she nodded but kept crying. "Why were you out of the hospital wing anyways?" I asked confused.

"The nurses were walking me back to my room, but I couldn't walk any longer, so they had to get a guard to carry me, and when he started carrying the alarm went off so he went in the woman's room for a passage way, but got shot in the leg on the way down. He kept carrying me down the stairs, But passed out and died" she explained. I felt so much guilt for not opening the door!

I felt her hand caress my cheek. As I looked down at her to see her big green eyes looking back at me. "I'm sorry, I should have just stayed. I appreciate that you came in and stayed with me. I love you. So much" she said. I couldn't help it, I grabbed her face and brought it to mine as we kissed.

We kissed for about 30 seconds before I heard a little yelp come from her mouth. I pulled away in worry. "I'm sorry it's just my leg is in pain" she apologized. I give her a quick peck on the lips. "Lils that's okay. Let me help you, get you back to your room" I said as she blushed at the new nickname.

"Okay." She said as I picked her up off the floor.

I took her back to her room, and laid her on her bed. I also asked a guard to get a nurse here, with some pain killers, or anything to reduce the crucial pain she was receiving.

I then went back to my room. My dad called today and said it will be an off day. Meaning we didn't have to go to all meals, and we could just hang out in our rooms. Most people were also very tired from waking up so early.

The nurse soon got there and Lili fell asleep. I stayed there with her for a few minutes, then decided to go back to my room and get some rest. Sleeping on a concrete floor was very unpleasant.

As I got back to my room a guard was knocking. "I'm here" I said behind him, making him jump a little. "Oh your majesty, you have a letter from lady tatum, she has requested for me to give it straight to you as soon as possible" he explained.

I nodded. I was curious to what it would say. We haven't talked that much since lili has been in the hospital.

I entered my room and went to my office space, then opened the letter

Dear Prince Cole,

I feel like we haven't spoken lately. I understand everything going on with lili. But do you think there is a possibility that we could meet up later today? I would like to spend time with you.

Reading it made me smile. I then got out a paper and started writing back. Saying yes of course, meet me in the courtyard around 7:30.

eheheh. OMG GUYSSSS IM SO EXCITED TO SEE THE TRAILER!!!!!!! IT COMES OUT TODAY! But I have to wait until after school because it comes out at nine, and I start school at 8:45 :/. Butttttt I have an early release tmr so that's good😙💋🤍ly guysss hope ur enjoying the story
