Part 20 tears of comfort

Lili's POV
Lunch was fine. I mostly tried to avoid any contact with Cole or Emma. Mainly because I was embarrassed. But I noticed cole was staring at me so I decided to give him the satisfaction of me smiling back. Other than that, that's the only time I had "contact" with him.

After lunch I got back and I noticed the computer was gone. The guard probably took it back. I came in and went to my desk to see if Lucy took the letter. She did! I also saw the one Cole gave me folded up in the corner. I smiled at the thought of how much he cared.

I then remembered, today was our last lesson with our groups to finalize things, and we would be presenting tomorrow. My group has honestly down amazing and we have already finished things so we probably just have to go over our "lines" and what we'll say when we're presenting.

I went to the lesson and it went fine. We had a few arguments with who would say what, but we worked it out. Once the lesson was over we had about 30 minutes until dinner, so I decided to just write in my diary about the usb. Which didn't take long, but lasted until dinner time.

I got to dinner. Nothing really happened. But mads did tell me how rachel assigned all there parts and wouldn't let them choose. I feel so bad! I mean there is nothing anyone can do about it, like telling Ashley will make us a tattle tell, and telling rachel to stop will make you her and her "minions" target to pick on.

Dinner went by really quickly, and I went back to my room excitedly but also a little nervous, as I told Cole he could come to my room like he requested. While I was waiting I went onto the balcony to get some fresh air. As much as I hated to admit it I was really upset.

I can't believe I was such a fool to believe Emma over Cole, I mean well they both said they kissed. I felt tears stream down my eyes. Ughhhh. I went to my bathroom to clean up my face. Because I feel like there is mascara under my eyes, and I definitely didn't want Cole to see me like this.

As soon as I got opened my door back into my room from my balcony I saw Cole sitting on my bed twirling his hair like he always does when he is nervouse. I walked towards the bed, still crying.
He then noticed me, his face softened with sympathy, "come ere love" he said. And that's all it took, I walked over to the bed where he was sitting, and straddled him, crying into his shoulder, my arms wrapped around him.

At first he tensed for a few seconds, but then relaxed. . He hugged back and started rubbing my back. "I'm s-sorry" I said crying still holding onto him like life depended on it. "angel please don't cry, I'm sorry" I heard his comforting voice. I held onto him tighter.

He whispered sweet nothings in my ear as he rubbed my back. I looked up at him admiring his eyes as he wiped my tears off with his thumbs. "I was such a fool to be believe her over you" I said as tears from guilt streamed down my face.

He looked really upset, not like a mad upset, but like a sad upset. "are you ok?" i asked worried. His eyes meant mine and he nodded. I then hugged him again. he hugged me back, his chin laying on my shoulder, and my head buried in his upper left chest. "cole" i said muffled as my head was in his shoulder. "hmm" he repllied. "thanks for defending me when Emma said bad things about me. no one has ever done that for me before" i said. "oh lili, I'd do nearly anything for you." he said as a tear fell down my face. "you would?" i asked, my voice still muffled. "if only you knew" he replied as i hugged him tighter.

3rd POV
they stayed in eachothers embrace and talked for about 45 more minutes before cole realized lili was asleep. He picked her up, layed her in bed, and tucked her in. He sat and watched her sleep for five minutes, before taking out his phone and snapping a picture of her that he would upload to his camera. He then left looking forward to seeing her at breakfast the next morning.
