Jen's POV
"Mason, do you think there's any truth behind that? I mean, I..I didn't even know they kept in contact, he wouldn't have given her the impression they still had a chance would he?"
To say I was upset was an understatement. My boyfriends ex girlfriend just admitted on national TV, that there may be a chance her and Harry would get back together. Granted she never mentioned names, but we were all well aware who she was referring to.
"No I really don't think so..."
"The why were you shocked when she said it? You obviously thought it was true for a second too..."
"It was more of a 'what the hell is she doing' not a 'oh my god what is Harry playing at', I know how much he loves you, plus you have a baby on the way, do you honestly think he's even thinking about getting back with Taylor? He had ample opportunity while you were broken up, I think she's just a shit talker! I think it's a little ridiculous you're even considering this being truthful!"
One thing I loved about my friendship with Mason was he was alway honest with me. He didn't spare my feelings, and he called me out when I was being stupid, just like he was right now. I shouldn't still have these insecurities about my relationship, but when someone like Taylor Swift is on TV pining after your boyfriend, it's not easy to laugh off. Especially since they had history together.
"Why would she say that though? I mean she's never been really open about her relationships that I've heard, so why hint that there's a chance? She wouldn't cause unnecessary headlines for nothing!"
"Jen, you're getting upset over nothing trust me. She probably meant it in a completely harmless way, and we both know there's no chance she'll have him back. I don't know what more Harry has to do to prove he loves you and only you, I wish you could see what we all see. The way he looks at you, treats you, loves you, we all wish we had a partner like that! You should laugh this stuff off, it shouldn't bother you, especially not anymore!"
I was being stupid, and everything he was saying was right. I did know Harry loved me, he proved that every single day, maybe I was just so exhausted I let my emotions get in the way, or my hormones were probably just playing up again. Either way, I was over analysing, and working my nerves up over nothing at all.
"I know, Mason I know! I'm just tired and I hate being away from him, you know my anxiety is constantly out of control, especially now that I'm pregnant. I'm just gonna go back to bed and sleep it off. Thanks for the arse whipping, I needed it!" I smiled at him and pulled him into a hug.
"You're welcome...now stop being silly and laugh over the fact you have something Taylor Swift wishes she had!" We both laughed at his words, and I made my way back to bed to sleep for the four hours I would get before work.
...
"You guys look like crap!" Ava obviously had no sympathy for the horrible nights sleep Mason and I had had.
It was now lunch time, and we were up on the rooftop setting up for tonight's show. Ava dragged us up to set up since the set up team she hired were running extremely late, and she saw how we were almost falling asleep at our desks. She figured this would wake us up.
"I was up all night finalising everything since I had to get her from the airport at midnight, and when I did get to sleep I was up again helping her when she was spewing her guts out!" Mason explained his tired state.
I felt bad for his lack of sleep, but I told him he didn't have to be by my side, but he insisted that he would take the place of Harry when he wasn't around.
"When this is all done go take a nap in the break room, I don't need my two best host's looking like crap tonight! How was Singapore?" She turned and asked me.
