"Are you sure Marinette?"

I glanced at Tikki and look back again at my phone. Am I sure? NO. But is it for a great cause? YES.

I groaned.

"I- I don't know! I'm just really torn and tired with all these duties!"

She exclaimed and Tikki could tell that this girl was actually really tired.

A 15-year-old girl weighed with responsibilities of being a daughter, a student and most importantly, a damn superhero.

That's too much to be honest and adding a problem cause by a boy. Does not help anything at all.

"Marinette, I think it's not really right to not text him goodbye. He might think that you hate him"

I glanced at her with tired eyes and frustrated sighs.

"I don't know Tikki, I could message him by another number but with cryptic messages?"

I suggested since I've thought about this for awhile now. Her eyes widened and she nodded slowly.

"That could work actually but won't that be too mysterious?"

I smirked and chuckled.

"Tikki, being ladybug is already mysterious as it is. Plus, I love writing poems. I just hope he'd still be friends with me"

Lying with gritted teeth was something I should've been used to buy now.

Not gonna lie. It hurt.

It hurt when he sat down and shared his ice cream with her.

It hurt when he never even noticed me.

It hurt when his eyes sparkled when seeing her.

And it hurt, because I knew that I would never get the ending I desperately wanted.

A goodbye would be hard to type because he didn't even say goodbye to me when he left with her.

He denies that he likes her. But I can't help but feel that he's out of my league.

I sighed at that memory. Since I'm already back, how would he even react with all these drama?

A friend and baker girl that everyone missed. A superhero who was looked upon by millions of people.

Right. I haven't talked with my kitty for a year, but I heard that he isn't quite fond with Ladybettle.

Makes me wonder why.

Did I choose Kagami wrongly? Have I made a mistake?

I'm currently trying to visualize reactions of my fellow friends and acquaintances.

"Hey Tikki?"

I called out to my one and favorite kwami.

.

"Yes Marinette?"

.

"Will I be ladybug again?"

.

It was quiet.

.

"Of course, you are ladybug. I'm pretty sure Master Fu would gladly take back Ladybeetle's earrings for you"

.

I hummed in response. I'm not sure about that, maybe Kagami loves being Ladybeetle so I might never even be ladybug again.

"Will...."

.

"Will Adrien be mad at me?"

"I-I'm not sure Marinette since I'm not Adrien. I can't picture any of his reactions to be honest but I'm sure he would understand if you told him"

"Well, I don't love him anymore so there's a 99% chance of me yelling that out loud"

We both laughed.

"But I just can't believe how a year could change my entire perspective of everything I did"

"Oh, how so?"

Tikki floated around with interest.

"Well, I feel much more powerful due to my training. I can now think of ways faster and I can now realize signs of friendship and love"

"You're right. A year could change yourself"

"But Tikki! I'm still worried of his reaction because I'm still his friend, right?"

"Of cour-"

"Tikki what was that?!"

I instantly stood up with my feet and looked out of my window. I gasped as I saw scene so nostalgic.

"An Akuma!"

I prayed that Ladybeetle and Chat Noir would be here soon because this Akuma looked like a damn clown who was floating in the air while holding a balloon.

Prennywise reference?

Ehem. Back to the point.

I gasped even more when I saw a young girl tied with a balloon on her waist and she was floating so high.

"Ladybeetle and Chat Noir! Give me your Miraculous or else I will release this child!"

Before I could even stop myself. My feet were already running downstairs while Tikki yelled out a muffled word

My parents almost caught me but I dodged them easily and ran outside without a damn care except for this child.

I have to save that child.

Because Ladybug is back and she's better than ever
