I was fighting the binds. "Stop fighting. I'll just torture you more if you don't stop." she said. We stopped at the place the first task was held, and she pulled out the time turner and turned it three times before we spun off back in time.
Ludo Bagman's voice boomed through the stadium, making my neck hairs stand up. The crowd was cheering and whooping with an emotion I was not sporting in the least. "And, first up, we have Miss Fleur Delacor!" I watched as my aunt came out to fight her dragon, determination set on her beautiful features.
Then my eyes wandered over to the Hogwarts stands, where a young girl who looked almost exactly like me sat. I realized that she must be my mother while she was my age. Further into the crowd I saw a redheaded boy, and judging by his resemblance to Hugo, I guessed he was my young father. Little did they know their little girl that they despised was mere yards from them...
I started crying and Delphi kicked me to shut me up. Then, Viktor Krum walked into the arena like stadium. He ducked and dodged as the dragon enkindled and threw the fire at him. I started occupying myself with getting out of those binds.
But, no matter how much I struggled, the bonds held fast. All too soon, Cedric was in the field. Delphi smirked and muttered a spell that sounded like 'Levicorpus'. I kicked her as she said it, so she didn't finish and Cedric finished the task like he did in the history books.
"Crucio" Delphi muttered and I was racked with pain. "Well, there's always the second task."
We left and were in the lake when I opened my eyes again. I felt a burning pain in my left arm, it was so bad that I yelled. Delphi kicked me in the chest to shut me up and, without giving me a bubblehead charm or anything, pulled me down into the water.
I started struggling as soon as my head went underwater. She kicked me again and the air left my lungs.
My lungs were on fire, I had to get air, I had to go to the surface.... black was swimming at the edges of my vision but I barely saw Delphi fire an engorgement charm and I kicked a rock up. It turned into a boulder and fell down. Delphi hit me with the cruciatus curse underwater and it was one of the worst things I had ever felt.
She took us back to our regular time and dragged me to the quidditch pitch.
Just then, Albus and Scorpius tumbled in, wands at the ready. "Let her go." I had never seen cinnamon roll Scorpius so mad, and my cousin only got mad in really extreme situations. "Foolish boys. FUSCIO! FUSCIO!"
Just like that, we were all bound at Delphi's feet. She grabbed us and took us to the third task.
The hedges were tall and foreboding, the vines attempting to pull us into the growths. I didn't hear any of the cheering that was present in the other tasks, I only heard my heart beating next to Albus's and Scorpius's. I closed my eyes and took some deep breaths.
I read somewhere that I needed to assess the situation to truly calm down. Okay, I had been kidnapped. I might die. I am trying to stop the daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange from destroying the world. My parents are probably worried to death, and I am next to my cousin and my secret crush. This is not good.
Now, which problem should I tackle first? I thought. I could stop her from destroying the world for now, yes, and then try to escape and get help.
It was the best plan I had.
Soon, we stopped. "Any moment now Cedric is going to come down here and we are going to humiliate him, if you get in the way Rosie, you will be seeing red soon enough." Delphi sat there and waited. I knew that I needed to stop her, but how? I looked at my fellow captives, and an unspoken plan was formed between the three of us.
Cedric was almost on the path when we struck. The two of them kicked her and I stood up and tried to get her out, but she had her arms and a wand so she overpowered us. "Rosie, I told you you'd be seeing red! CRUCIO!"
The pain hit me again and I screamed. Falling backwards, I started getting sucked in by the hedges themselves. It gave me an idea.
I scooted further back into the hedge until it covered me entirely. The vines and things were so full of magic that my magic binding didn't stand a chance. I jumped out of the hedge and grabbed my wand out of Delphi's pocket. (I had a dragon heartstring wand, so it was more powerful and willing to change masters)
"Emancipare! Emancipare!" I freed my cousin and Scorpius before summoning their wands. "You're outnumbered, Delphi. Give up." I said, and she smiled. "Oh, sweetie. You didn't think I came alone, did you?"
I watched in horror as death eaters surrounded us, blocking any escape we may have had.
"GET THEM!" She yelled, and we dove for the time turner. Picking it up and grabbing Delphi, we went back to our regular time. "STUPEFY!" I yelled, and the jet of red light destroyed the time turner.
Delphi stood up and pointed her wand at us. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" she yelled and we ducked as a green light flew past our ears. We started running in the opposite direction, toward McGonagall's office.
