23 ✞ staying

It was a cold evening, and Taehyung was sitting down at a bench on the outside garden of his castle. It was dark outside. The grey 'daylight' was setting and the dark skies were rising.

Taehyung sat there admiring the dark view quietly. He was lost on his own thoughts. But what thoughts? shit he didn't even know. He didn't even know why he was feeling like that. He didn't even know what he was thinking about. He didn't know when this started. He didn't know nothing. He felt lost.

He felt trapped.

All Taehyung needed was to desahogarse (unburden, to let out). To let it all out. To let all his feelings out.

He needed someone.

Taehyung bit his lip hard trying to hold back the tears that were forming on his eyes. He felt so alone in this world.

He just wanted to be happy. He just wanted to be loved. He just wanted his mother back.

Taehyung quickly swiped a tear that made its way down his cheek as he heard a 'crunch' on the floor. As if someone stepped on leaves. Taehyung looked to its direction to meet Jungkook standing there. Looking at him concerned. Taehyung wiped his eyes and cleared his throat quickly, "What are you doing here." he said in a serious tone.

Jungkook ignored his question, "Are you.. crying?" he said softly. Taehyung ignored his question back. "Why haven't you left yet." he asked once again.

"I'm not leaving. I'm choosing to stay." responded Jungkook softly as he gulped. Taehyung furrowed his brows in confusion, "Why" he let out. He let him free, he let him go back to his life, why is he staying?

"Because I want to." started Jungkook, "because I want to stay here with y-you sir" Jungkook gained confidence to say.

Taehyung looked at him confused once again.

What?

Taehyung scoffed, "Well too bad. I don't want anything to do with you or your kind. So get lost." Taehyung spat out those harsh words.

Jungkook softly frowned. Oh.

But he shrugged it off, I mean, it's Taehyung what do you expect?

"I won't go. I want to help y-"

"Help me with what? There's nothing to help with. I'm completely fine." Taehyung scoffed in attitude, "Stop fucking pitying me. I hate it. I already let you free, Go away. I don't want you here. Leave me alone." spat Taehyung as he stood up from the bench annoyed. Jungkook remained silent.

"I better not fucking see you around by the time I wake up tomorrow." threatened Taehyung in a serious tone before walking away, leaving Jungkook there standing speechless. First attempt on trying to get close to Taehyung: failed.

Well this will not be easy.

Jungkook sighed and walked away as well, making his way back to the castle. Before entering the castle, Jungkook suddenly stopped. His gazed landed on the tall trees of the forest in front of him as he thought;

Should I go see them?

He thought for a moment, should he go to his home? how would Namjoon and Seokjin react if he tells them he decide to stay?
