a/n: hi! this is a repost, because i added to the end. also, i start my break for school next week, so expect more chapters! thank u!

Never leave me, my love.

I push my face into my hands and groan. "Nothing, absolutely nothing. These books? They're all rubbish."

For the past 2 hours, Cedric and I have been sitting in his dorm trying to figure out the best solution for the second task.

Since it's next week. And he still doesn't have an idea. Neither does Harry.

Boys.

I tie my hair in a pony tail and lay down the book I was reading. I take off my glasses I only wear when reading for long periods of time and rub my forehead. "You know," I say, "I'm starting to think you're just going to drown. Sorry."

Cedric sets down his book on a table and fake frowns. "That would be a real shame. How would you manage without me?"

I scoff and roll my eyes at him. "I could manage without you."

He stands up from his chair and walks over to his bed where I sit cross legged. "I think I could without you," he says, setting his hands on my shoulders. "I'd just never want to. I'd miss that bubbly personality of yours," he laughs.

He leans down and kisses my neck, leaving a trail. "I am not..."

I don't finish correcting him, but instead remember something I read a long time ago. "That's it," I mumble. "Ced, that's it!"

I grab his face in between my hands and smile. "Bubbles. You can use a bubble-head charm that will allow you to breathe underwater! It's genius!"

He breaks out into a smile and kisses me, holding the back of my head gently in his hand. "You see, this is why I love you," he says.

"Say that again," I breathe, craving those words.

"I love you."

I kiss him now, pulling his body to mine, causing both of us to fall onto his bed. He breaks our kiss by lifting his head to look at my face fully. He brushes a hair out of my face, tickling my nose.

He looks between my lips and my eyes, his gaze loving. "If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus 1 day so I never have to live without you," he whispers.

"Winnie the Pooh," I smile. "Now get your sappy arse off of me before you crush me to death."

He laughs as I push him off of me and opt for crawling under the sheets of his bed. He stands next to the bed, looking down on me.

"Well, are you coming or what?"

He laughs and pulls back the comforter, crawling into bed with me. We lie on our backs, staring into the ceiling made of glass. His hand plays with my fingers absentmindedly while he thinks.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I ask, turning my head to look at him.

"Hm?" he asks, still staring blankly at the glass.

"What are you thinking about?" I rephrase, unsure if he's familiar with the muggle saying.

"This championship." He sighs and runs the his other hand through his hair, clearly stressed. "I didn't know you well enough when I entered the competition to tell you this," he turns to look at me, giving me a sad smile, "but I only entered this competition for my dad."

"But you seemed so excited-"

"Had to act like it," he says, somewhat sourly. I turn my head back to the ceiling and try to make out constellations. "I'm glad you did though," I say softly. "Because then I never would have made that bet with you. Hell, I probably would've brushed you aside and then never talked to you again, because you're older and cooler and prettier."

He laughs at that. I turn to look at him again, squeezing his hand. "I'm serious, Ced."

"I know," he whispers. "I entered to make my dad proud. I'm his only son, you know, I need him to be proud of me. And what's better than winning a championship like this?"

"Nothing," I say.

"Nothing," he repeats.

I look back up at the sky, thankful that there's no clouds in sight. "I'm proud of you," I whisper. "I know it's not the same thing as your dad and all, but I am. Proud of you, I mean."

I feel him look at me. "Thank you."

"Look at the sky," I tell him, raising my arm to point at the stars. "It's decorated with stars, these gorgeous stars. You really take advantage of this ceiling," I say, my eyes wandering around the glass, "If I had a ceiling like this I would never sleep."

"Then maybe you should stop staying the night here," he jokes. "You need sleep."

"Do not."

"Do too. Maybe, I should just kick you out right now so you have to walk back to your dorm at," he pauses, checking his watch. "1:34 am. Do you think Filch will catch you?"

"Stop," I whine, tired of messing around. I turn on my side so I can press my forehead against the side of his head. "You could never kick me out," I murmur, kissing the side of his head slowly.

"Not when you're doing that," he breathes back. I trail kisses to his ear and bite it, gently pulling the skin between my teeth. He sucks in a breath and I smile, knowing the effect I have on him.

"I think I'm here to stay," I whisper in his ear. His hands find their way around me and he holds me to him, pressing our bodies so close together that there's no room for anything, let alone Jesus.

"You're definitely here to stay, my love." He whispers.

I turn my face to the ceiling. "Pick a star," I say softly. He bends his head down to look at me.

"What?" he laughs.

"A star," I say again. "A star that will be our star."

"Okay, nerd," he says, scrunching his eyes to have a better look at our options. "That one," he says finally, pointing a finger at a star in the sky.

"Okay," I say, grabbing his hand and squeezing it. "That's our star."
