Chapter 8: The incident

Draco and his group got back to Hogwarts at around half five. Dinner was at six. Immediately, Draco sensed something was up.

"Something's not right," he murmured to the others. That was when a Slytherin sixth year spotted them.

"There they are!" She shouted in a shrill voice. They frowned.

"What in Merlin's-" Theodore was cut off as they entered the castle by a crowd of students. Suddenly, there was mocking laughter, until everyone was smirking and laughing, even the Hufflepuffs.

"What the hell is going on?" demanded Draco angrily. But they simply ignored him, whispering to each other and laughing. The Slytherins gave them dark looks, as if they had done something terrible. With a frustrated growl, Draco stormed ahead. He skidded to a halt in shock. There, pinned to the wall, were photos of him and Pansy snogging in the Three Broomsticks, with captions underneath. He looked around, and to his horror, saw that there were more, pinned up all over the castle. The others saw them too.

"What. In. The. Name. Of. Salazar." Blaise looked quite taken aback. Then Pansy let out a deafening screech.

"Who did this?" She demanded, but the students simply laughed and began their taunts and mocks. Draco had a sinking feeling he knew exactly who. Apparently, so did Pansy. For she was gone in a blur, streaking away towards the Slytherin dorms.

The girls checked the time. Thirty five past five. It was time to see the damage done. They decided to take separate routes so that they would know what had happened across the whole school.

"We'll meet at the Great Hall," smirked Roxy, "Oh this is going to be interesting." They all laughed, then set off. Roxy calmly walked down the corridors, where students were whispering amongst themselves, staring at the pictures. Most were laughing. The Slytherins looked thunderstruck. It was clear that Draco and Pansy had shamed the whole house. She walked down a deserted corridor, smirking to herself. Roxy was too lost in her own glory to not notice the person barreling towards her until she had her by the throat, her wand pointing directly at her.

"What have you done, you bitch?!" Screamed Pansy.

"I'm afraid I have no clue what you're on about," Said Roxy innocently.

"I know it was you who pinned those photos!" She continued shrilly.

"So what?" retorted Roxy, unfazed. This girl didn't intimidate her.

"How dare you!"

"Oh please. It was for your own good. Doing that in public? Honestly," laughed Roxy calmly. Pansy jabbed her wand into her neck.

"You horrid bitch," she hissed, "You go around exposing us just because you want Draco back and you're jealous that he's mine, whether you care to admit it or not."

"You've said that so many times but do you really think I want him back? In case you haven't noticed, he broke my heart. And I don't even want him in my life. You don't even know what happened two years ago. You don't know how much I hate him, and how much he destroyed me."

"You expect me to believe that?" snarled Pansy, "and even if I did, there's no need for you to go around exposing us!"

"As I said, it was for your own good. Can't have you shaming our house and degrading the Slytherins, can we? " said Roxy sweetly.

"I hate you!" Shrieked Pansy.

"Don't worry, it's mutual. Oh, and also, I sent them to your parents."

Pansy lost it. She screamed and punched Roxy right across the face, then continued to punch and hit her. Roxy took it all without a word. Pansy threw her onto the floor, where Roxy hit her head. She landed on her left arm, and there was a sickening crunch. Pansy hit her again and Roxy felt blood drip down. She even tasted the metallic taste in her mouth.
