Chapter 6: Unified for Eternity

"What do you want, Malfoy?" snapped Roxy. Draco stopped.

"Had fun?" he asked emotionlessly.

"Yes, I did," she retorted angrily, "What's your problem?"

"Roxy, I think we should go," said Adrian gently. She huffed.

"We will, but not before I settle something." She whirled back to face Draco, glaring at him.
"You're so damn frustrating, you know? I don't know what you want, and nor do I care. We are done; you said it yourself. So why can't you let me go? We both don't want that experience anymore. I am trying to start fresh here, but I really don't know what your purpose is!" She yelled at him.

Draco sighed, and absentmindedly ran his fingers through his hair. She froze momentarily as a thousand memories and emotions crashed back into her.

Roxy, linking the action with Draco.

Roxy, thinking how hot he looked when he did that.

Roxy, twirling her fingers in his hair.

Roxy, inhaling his minty shampoo.

Roxy, feeling how soft and silky his hair felt.

Roxy, seeing the sunlight shining around his platinum-blonde hair, accentuating it.

She felt her throat constrict as she blinked at him, then she found herself spinning around and racing away as fast as her legs could carry her, leaving behind two bewildered and worried boys. Roxy gasped the password into the Slytherin common room, then leapt up into her dorm, slamming the door shut. She just managed to cast a Muffliato spell before she stumbled over to her bed and flung herself down face first. Then the tears she had been fighting back escaped until she was sobbing uncontrollably. Roxy screamed and wailed hysterically, letting loose a torrent of tears and gasps. She couldn't handle this. She couldn't. It was far too overwhelming.

Roxy knew that class must be over, that it was dinnertime, but she didn't care. She wasn't hungry anyways.

She was so absorbed in her own misery that she didn't notice when the door opened.

Daphne, Cassidy and Jade had come to get Roxy for dinner, figuring that she would probably be in her dorm. They were right. As they opened the door, they were giggling about Daphne's critising comments about Umbridge's 'atrocious state of clothing that shouldn't even exist'.

They abruptly stopped when they were met with the sudden sobs of Roxy. Wordlessly, they shut the door and walked over to her. The three of them engulfed her in a hug, soothing her quietly.

"What's the matter, Roxy?" asked Cassidy.

"If someone's hurt you..." said Jade angrily.

"You can speak to us," comforted Daphne. Roxy shook her head.

"It's Draco. I don't know what to do." She explained to them what had happened, and the whirlpool of mixed emotions and memories that hit her when he ran his fingers through his hair.

"So you see, I can't take this anymore. It's too much stress and anxiety," wept Roxy, still not lifting her face.

"Roxy, look at us," demanded Jade.

"Yes, no matter how smudged your makeup is," added Daphne. Roxy slowly lifted her head.

"Right, listen to us," said Cassidy, "You don't need to do anything you don't want to do, ok? But know that we'll always be here for you."
