{•Lynette•}
I groaned in pain as I slowly felt woke up, my body sore and heavy like lead, but thankfully I felt no more severe pain anymore... Mostly numbing pressure in most places.....
I realized where I was and slowly sat up, seeing I was in an unfamiliar room.
It looks like.... Some sort of old infirmary room....
White beds laid side by side to each other, even a large cabinet with medical supplies nearby from what I was able to see.
I also had a nightstand with a bouquet of fresh flowers in a vase on top.
I tried to sit up, but felt pain everywhere and cried out as I fell back onto the bed.
"Lynette," a voice said, making me jump slightly. "Stay calm.... You shouldn't try to move too much...."
I managed to turn and was relieved to see Sebastian hovering over me.
He... He looks so.... Exhausted....
"F-Fre... F-Fredrick....?" I mumbled weakly, thinking I should use his alias.
"You can say my real name, its okay.... We're safe here, I promise....." He said softly, holding my hand in his.
I took a deep breath and relaxed into the warm bed I realized I was in.
"Here... Drink some water," he said softly as he took a nearby cup, being extremely careful in helping me sit up. "Its medicated to help with the pain..."
I whimpered a bit in pain as I managed to slowly sit up a little, and he bought the brim of the cup to my lips to let me drink, and I was relieved to feel the cool water going down my dry, sore throat.
I sighed as I finished drinking what I could, and then relaxed as he helped me lie back down, then reaching over and wringing a rag in a bowl of water.
"There.... I figured you really needed that...." he said.
He gently placed the rag over my forehead and I sighed softly as I felt the cold rag against my skin, realizing I felt warm.
"Your fever is going down.... That's a good sign," he said softly. "The infection is leaving your body..."
"W-What....?" I murmured, looking up at him.
"Yes.... You've been sick for past 2 days after Emerson rescued you..... We healed you as much as we could, and cleaned you also.... Your wounds were very deep, some gashes were even infected..... It gave you a very high fever, and we only have our blood and some medicine from the apothecary... It may take a lot of time, but it is thankfully working...." He said, then sighed.
I gulped and looked up at him.
"How b-bad is it, though?" I asked, shifting a little and groaning at my sore body, seeing my arms were covered in bandages.
He hesitated, before he sighed and stood, walking over to a nearby dresser and picking up an old hand mirror, walking over.
"Please, Lynette, just.... Keep in mind..... This is only injury.... Temporary..... It will heal with our blood, but slower than it would with Remington's," He said.
I furrowed my brows as he held the mirror out to me, making me taking it. I winced as I took the mirror, holding it in my hands before holding it up and gasping in horror at my reflection.
