At the beginning of May Akita had to balance both baseball and volleyball practice. Even though Coach Kataoka didn't had out the jersey numbers until the day before the summer tournament Coach Sakurai did since Tokyo's interhighs were coming up. She and the girls had gotten their numbers hers was the number was 10 and it was the opposite of the boys jerseys .It was solid black with red outlines and their number in red on the front and on the right side of their black shorts.
The first week of May Akita started being apart of Nekoma's official team when they started to play matches for Interhigh. The first and second games went by smoothly for the team Akita was able to play in the second match as a wing spiker helping her team rack up points. During her match's sometimes some of the Seidou team would come and cheer her on and afterwards Miyuki would tease how good she looked in her uniform, which resulted in him getting stabbed in the side from the girl and laughed at by Kuramochi or Jun.
All in all between the Interhighs and the Kantou Tournament it was a busy month not to mention she would take a day here and there to visit Toru and train with him and Iwaizumi.
Unfortunately Seidou was eliminated in the fourth round, everyone knew with the new team it would be a work in progress to get ready for the summer. But for Nekoma's girls team they were able to qualify for nationals that would happen next month.
