Percy's POV

I fiddled with my hands as I paced around my cabin. The war had only just finished a few days ago. Annabeth and I haven't really discussed the whole underwater kiss thing... Does that mean we're together?  Or is she still trying to sort out her feelings? My mom would go crazy if she heard we were dating. Which we aren't, just not yet. I think.

I laid on my bed starring at the ceiling when the door bust open

"Hey, Percy." Annabeth stood in the doorway looking nervous. I jolted up so I was sitting on the side of my bed.

"You okay Annabeth?" I patted a spot next to me and she walked over and sat down.

"Um not exactly. I was wondering about the whole you and me thing..." The ends of her mouth pointed down and her grey eyes looked like they were ready to send thunder if I screwed up this conversation.

"Yeah about that," I said starting off "I was thinking about it too and I really like you Annabeth. A lot actually."

"Really?" Her frown turned into a bright smile.

"Really. Like you could wave to me and I'd instantly have a heart attack."

"Don't be dorky Seaweed Brain." She pushed my head of raven black hair and we both laughed. She slowly slipped her hand into mine, intertwining our fingers and never breaking eye contact. For a long time, we just held hands and talked. I love when she goes on and on about architecture. We both landed on the topic of our parents.

"My mom is not gonna be happy about us." She said.

"She'll get over it. I did save Olympus so who couldn't love me?" I joked.

"Oh, I don't know maybe the titans for gods sake?!"

"Your mom is gonna freak out when she sees us," Annabeth said looking at me again. I nodded letting out a slight chuckle.

Sally's POV

Percy would be back from camp any second now so I made sure he would feel at his best. I was so proud of what he did. He saved the entire world and now he could be home and relax.

The smell of cookies filled the apartment and I took the blue cookies out of the oven. About two seconds later the doorbell rang and Percy popped his head in through the front door.

"Hi, mom!"

"Percy!" I ran from the kitchen and opened the door all the way. To my surprise, he didn't come in and his hand was wrapped around the corner. "Uh oh. You didn't bring another giant dog did you?" I asked concerned. I did not need to have that happen again.

"Nope. No dog. But I did bring a friend!" He said brightly. He pulled his hand and Annabeth smiled coming out from behind the wall.

"Annabeth! How are you?"

"I'm doing okay. Relieved that the war is over but another thing is making me really happy." Annabeth smiled. After hearing about her family awhile back I always want her to feel comfortable around us.

"And what is that? Percy, there are cookies in the kitchen. You can go ahead and Annabeth can tell me all about this happy moment!" I loved Annabeth. She's like my daughter, whenever Percy is around her he lights up. It makes me happy seeing how happy he is. I've always known Percy liked her. It was very obvious but at the same time, he was so blind.

"Actually I think we both need to be here for this," Percy said slowly. I hadn't even been paying attention to the fact they had still been holding hands until he said that. "It's hard to find the right words. Basically on Mount St. Helens Annabeth-" He was cut off by her who kissed his cheek. "Well, that sums it up I guess." He planted a gentle kiss on her lips.

"OH MY GOODNESS! YOU TWO ARE DATING!!!" I threw my arms around them. I've known Percy has liked her for years. He didn't know it but I did, mother's intuition. "Awwwww you too are the cutest!" I hugged them tighter.

"Mom!" Percy whined.

Yeah I know its short. I'm trying to finish Detention Buddies which I have no idea where the story is going, but its fun to write. Plus I'm also working on the first few chapters of a new fanfic that I think you guys are going to enjoy. Much love- Jayde
