Annabeth's POV

Even as a child of Athena the subway system here is quite interesting. I was surprising Percy here in New York! He thought I'd be spending Christmas with my siblings at CHB who don't have families to go home to. I love my half-siblings but I haven't seen Percy in forever. I'm sure Malcom can handle it. I made my way to the apartment. Don't tell Percy but I was more excited to see Estelle.

"Annabeth!" Sally opened the door to the apartment and Estelle jumped off the couch. She was in the cutest little Christmas pajamas. She immediately screamed my name and hugged me.

"Did someone say Annabeth?" Paul Blofis, Percy's stepdad came and hugged me. Sally smiled brightly and I hugged her as well. She opened the door all the way and I set my backpack down. I took off my sweater and plopped it on the coat hanger by the door.

"Do you wanna watch Mickey Mouse with me?" Estelle's eyes sparkled and I nodded yes. She grabbed my hand and I had to bend down as she pulled me to the couch. "Percy is out with his friend Sarah right now. She's nice" She hunched over and quieted her voice, "but I like you better." My eyes widened when she said the name, Sarah. Percy was hanging out with a girl, a mortal girl. I mean sure he hangs out with the other girls at camp but they know he is mine. And then there are the nine-year-olds who come in crushing on him but they know I'm dating him too.

I watched Mickey Mouse for a bit but Estelle fell asleep so I carried her to her bedroom. Sally and Paul had gone out to buy Christmas gifts so I was just by myself having a nice cup of hot chocolate on the couch. The door lock turned and for a second I gripped a dagger hiding in my back jean pocket. Then as the door opened I saw a tall guy with messy black hair tucked into a beanie walk-in, Percy. Then he opened the door wider and a girl walked in. She was wearing a beret and a long tan sweater with 3 big buttons. Her long brown hair was curled. She had freckles and for a second I thought she looked a tad like Katie Gardener. But Katie had such kind eyes. This girl looked nice but her eyes were ruthless. She had a mocha in her hands and bit her lip while he talked. "I find that so interesting you know. How people are such idiots that they let their trash drift into the ocean."

"Oh yeah, a hundred percent! Thanks for hanging out with me Percy. Maybe I can stay and we can-" She bit her lip and fluttered her eyes. She was acting like the Aphrodite girls but worse. Percy was still focused on her and hadn't seen me yet. I cleared my throat looking at them.

"Hi, I'm Annabeth. His girlfriend." I said getting up off the couch and setting the hot coco down.

Percy just stared at me then he rushed over and wrapped his arms around me. "Beth! I thought you were at camp!"

"I don't mean to interrupt anything but I'm Sarah." She had this voice that sounded sweet but left an unsettling feeling in my gut. "Percy never told me about a girlfriend. Especially a blonde like you."

"Ummmmmmm." Percy let out. He looked at me then at Sarah, then back at me. "Trust me she is not that kind of blonde. Beth is amazing. We've been friends since we were twelve. We go to the same dyslexia and ADHD camp."

"Dyslexia? ADHD? Oh, you poor thing!"

I eyed her down and tried to send the message of get out he's mine. She glared back at me saying, not for long. We continued to have an eye conversation but soon enough she gave up and left without saying a word.

"What was that Wise Girl?"

"What was what?"

"You're being all, you know, jealous and that stuff." His sea-green eyes flashed concern and confusion.

"Well, Percy. It's not my fault that you've been running around New York with a mortal who is totally trying to get with you. Plus she's pretty and sounds like you never mention me around her. If anything I just had to step in before you two started making out."

"Beth-"

"Why? Why didn't you mention me?" I wasn't looking for excuses out of him. I just wanted him to be honest with me. He just stood there not saying anything. His hair fell into his eyes and I really wanted to fix it but I told myself that I had to be strong. His mouth started to move but no sound was coming out.

"Percy its the holidays. I don't wanna have to do this but if you're cheating on me..." My voice cracked.

"Oh, my gods Annabeth. I swear its not that. I didn't even know she was flirting with me."

"Thats because you never know! Your so dense!" I said through gritted teeth. I would've screamed but I didn't want to walk up Estelle.

He walked towards me and then gripped my face and full on kissed me without a warning. When we pulled apart his eyes shined. "Annabeth I swear on the River Styx I would never cheat on you. I've known you forever and nothing is changing my feelings about you."

"Thats a really big promise Percy are you sure? Plus she's so much prettier than me and-"

"And your smarter then her. You're braver. Your pretty dang good with a knife, and in my opinion she may be pretty but your beautiful. Your are everything to me Annabeth." He smiled like a complete dork and I rolled my eyes at him.

"You're such a Seaweed Brain" I smiled and pulled him in for a quick kiss. "Merry Christmas Percy."

"Merry Christmas Annabeth."
