Reunion

I think we've figured out I really like writing as Annabeth. Also Rachel is nice in this, sorry Rachel haters she's gonna be nice

Annabeth's POV 

I walked with my hands in my pockets through the suburbs of NY with my brothers. I've moved around so much in my life it's crazy. I used to live in Virginia, then New York, then in California, and now back to New York to stay. My brothers both got skateboards for their birthday and wanted to test them out. I brought them to the nearest skate park which wasn't to far from home. When we got there only a few people were there. Most of them were around my age and looked like they were flying. A girl with frizzy red hair rode around the huge dips in the ground. I sat down on a bench and told my brothers to just be careful. I looked down at my phone, scrolling through instagram for a bit. A dark shadow casted over me.

"Annabeth?" The person said confusingly. I turned up immediately. 

"P-Percy!!!" My hear jumped out of my chest. I threw my arms around him and I didn't let go for a long time.

"I thought you moved to San Francisco! Oh my gods Beth I missed you. I thought you forgot about me." Percy hugged me tighter and we swayed back and forth. We we're best friends until I was in 7th grade and moved. We FaceTimed everyday but soon we both got to busy. I found new friends, so did he.  We just stopped talking, but I never forgot about him.

"Percy!  I could never forget about you!" I pulled away for a few seconds but the hugged him again. He looked so different. Not in a bad way but older. His hair got messier but it was cute, and his eyes were exactly how I remembered them.

Percy's POV

Dang. Annabeth was super cute now. Like not even cute she was hot. Not hot actually, she was gorgeous. Her blonde hair smelled like lemons and she wore an oversized sweatshirt and leggings. 

I didn't know what to say to her. There was so much I would've liked to say. Since we met I was head over heels for her. Except I don't think that telling your past best friend, who you haven't seen in years that your in love with them is normal. The again I'm never normal. I tried to date other girls in the years she was gone but I've always known it was Annabeth. She always will be.

"I missed you." She buried her head in my shirt and I felt heat rising to my cheeks. 

"Hey are those your  brothers?" I asked pointing to two boys trying to balance on their skateboards. She nodded yes. I haven't seen those two since they were babies. I threw my skateboard under me and hopped on while it was rolling. I turned my head back and Annabeth was laughing.

"Show off much!" She shouted as I hoped off and walked up to her brothers.

I offered them a hand and taught them the basics. I saw my friend Rachel walking up to Annabeth. Oh shoot

Annabeth's POV 

"Hey I'm Rachel, I'm one of Percy's friends." The red headed girl I saw doing tricks earlier stuck out her hand and I shook it. 

"Annabeth."

"You know by looks of you and Percy hugging for that long I'm guessing your the Annabeth he always talks about." 

"He- he talks about me?" I asked a bit confused.

"Mhm. All the time. Like how your hair smells like lemons, or how pretty you are, or how he said he beats himself up about never telling you that he-"

Percy walked up behind me, "Rachel I think thats enough. Keep an eye on those two, don't want her brothers falling in." Rachel nodded and rode off.

I turned around and looked at Percy. He was wearing the same troublemaker smile like always. 

"You know Percy, whatever Rachel was talking about sounded interesting. Why don't you tell it all to my face?" I copied his smile and he laughed, rolling his eyes. He ran a hand through his hair  and my stomach leaped into my throat.

He pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. I blushed and he just smiled.

"Prissy! Who's the blonde?" I recognized the voice. It was Clarisse! She used to bully Percy in middle school. 

I turned around to face where her voice was coming from. Her mouth dropped open and she kicked up her skateboard.

"Annabeth! Hey!" She gave me a quick hug and high fived Percy. Guess they're friends now.

"Oh I so have to go get Thalia and everyone else!" Clarisse rode off to the other side of the skatepark. 

"We all just hang out here on the weekends." Percy said rubbing the back of his neck. I kinda have the urge to kiss him. I took a step closer to him. He didn't step back in fact he stepped closer too.  I checked my phone and saw it was 4:30. I had to get my brothers back by 5. 

"I have to bring my brothers back home but I'll come back right after. See ya Percy." I got on my toes and kissed his cheek. He stood there lifeless. I waved bye and my brother and started to walk home.

"Annie has a boyfriend! Annie has a boyfriend!" They teased on our walk.

"Just wait till you have girlfriends. Then look who's gonna be laughing then!" I patted they're backs and they made barf noises.

I met Percy and the rest of my old friends at the park and it was mini reunion. I left my sweatshirt at home that way, if Percy wasn't so dense, then I can wear his AHS hoodie.

It was nice seeing all my friends again. After they went home Percy volunteered to walk with me since no girl should be walking by herself this late. 

"Hey are you cold?" Percy asked. The cold air was killing my skin.

"No idiot I'm warm because clearly the sun is shining." I said with sarcasm.

"Here you take my hoodie." He slid it off and it pulled up on his shirt underneath. I did my best not to look. He handed me the hoodie and it was really comfy and warm. "How about we make this go a bit faster." He put his skateboard down and got onto it. Percy motioned for me to get on but I shook my head. "C'mon you'll be fine. I'll hold you." I blushed but luckily it was too dark outside to see. 

I stepped onto the skateboard which was really cramped but at least Percy would be holding me. He put his hands around my waist cautiously, then he kicked off the ground. I closed my eyes and he laughed at me. 

"Hey! You focus on not riding into a street light!" I yelled back.  The wind blew my hair back and I felt my face get hotter. After a solid 7 minutes we got back to my house. I hoped off and Percy kicked the board up. 

"Thanks for the ride." I said. At this point I was as red a tomato.

"Anytime." Percy hugged me and when we stopped there was a small space in between our faces. His eyes looked into mine then down to my lips. I grabbed his face and kissed him. Suddenly his hands were around my waist and mine were in his hair. He smiled, breaking apart the kiss. I laughed a little then I heard my dad's voice.

"HEY! NO PDA ON MY YARD!" He shouted with the front door open. I saw my brother behind him, they're faces were red from laughter,

"Guess I should get going. I'll text you." He made guns with his fingers and winked. Then he vanished into the dark night of New York City.

Moving around my entire life was really hard. I wasn't ecstatic to come back to NY but now I think I'm gonna love it here. At least love it more then when I was twelve.
