Scars Pt.2

"Alright, deal."

"Thanks. Here, thats her schedule. Don't wait too long to end it."

"I love you too Percy. I gotta go okay? Love you, bye." Annabeth hung up her phone and opened her locker. Percy had transferred to another school leaving Annabeth at Goode. They still talked every day though. Annabeth picked up her books and when she closed the door there was a face she thought she would never see again.

"Hey, Beth."

"Luke?! Omg hi! What are you doing in New York?" She was smiling and Luke followed Rachel's instructions. He wanted to be with Annabeth, and Rachel wanted to be with Percy. It was simple. 

"Thought I'd visit my favorite girl." He said. Annabeth blushed but then shook it off. She had a boyfriend. He started to lean in but she swerved out of the way. 

They were dating back when she lived in California but after she moved he never talked to her, like ever. So she moved on. Plus she loved Percy. Ever since the party at the beginning of the school year, they were good friends. Of course, now they are something more.

"I need to get to class but I can catch up with you later." Annabeth walked away and Luke knew it was time. Time to get rid of Percy.

Percy drove to Goode to pick up Annabeth. On Thursdays, he was let out a bit earlier so he always drove her back home. He fumbled with the keys in his hand. His previous stepdad Gabe got thrown out and into jail. A triumphant moment in Percy's life as he would say. His mom was with a guy named Paul. He was cool, that's what Percy thought. He let Percy borrow his Prius all the time, it was awesome. When he pulled up he could spot Annabeth immediately. Her blonde curly hair was blowing in the wind. Then he saw the guy in front of her. He was leaning on the metal stair rail behind him. He was blonde. He noticed how Annabeth was laughing around him, he was smirking and Percy felt his grip on the wheel tightening. He got out of the car and tried to get a better look at the scene. A strand of her hair came undone from her ponytail and the guy pushed it behind her ear. 

THATS IT, Percy said to himself. 

He usually wasn't the jealous type but that guy was clearly making a move on her. He snuck up behind her, she hadn't noticed. He wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Miss me?" He said. 

"Ahhhh!!!!" She screamed and she judo flipped Percy onto the concrete stairs. "Never do that again!"

"I'm Luke." He stuck out his hand as Percy got up. Percy firmly shook it.

"Percy. I'm Annabeth's boyfriend." He creased his eyebrows and Luke shrugged. Annabeth was oblivious to the two boys and hugged Percy's side. "We should get going." 

"Oh right! I'll talk to you later Luke." She waved bye and they walked to the Prius. The picture of Luke tucking the strand back burned in Percy's mind. The buckled in and the drive to Annabeth's house was silent.

"Are you okay?" She asked, clearly concerned. Percy scoffed and then calmed himself down.

"That Luke guy."

"What about him?"

"And I thought I was dense." Percy pulled into the apartment complex parking lot. Annabeth was confused. She got sad as Percy wasn't having any of it. He had a right to be mad.

"Percy, you can tell me."

He parked the car but stayed inside.

"Fine. You were all flirty with that Luke kid. There, I said it." Percy huffed and crossed his arms.
