Percabeth's first I love you cause Rick didn't give it to us >:(
This takes place right before Lost Hero
"You know we should probably head up now." Annabeth said as she looked at the huge bubble that Percy had formed.
He shrugged.
"But where's the fun in that?" Percy asked with a smirk.
Annabeth rolled her eyes. It still remained a question to her; how did she fall for the biggest Seaweed Brain there ever is? Somehow she was always able to find an answer to that question. It could be how brave he is, how his hair is always messy and swept by the ocean breeze, or his sea green eyes. Not to mention his loyalty. He had some of the lowest self esteem on the planet but that didn't stop him. There is always something to admire about him.
They had been sitting in the huge bubble at the bottom of the lake for a long time now. People were probably starting to get suspicious. Annabeth could care less though. Percy didn't mind either. One, he was in water, his home. Two, he was with his awesome girlfriend. What could be a better combination?
"I really think we should Perce."
"C'mon Wise Girl, just a couple more minutes." Percy pouted.
"Fine. A couple more minutes." She agreed.
"But you know that translates to a couple more hours right?"
"Of course I know that, Seaweed Brain."
She moved from the opposite end of the bubble to where Percy was. She leaned against him, holding her book in hand.
"Whatcha reading?" Percy peeked over to the book.
"Just stuff about architecture." Annabeth flipped the page.
"That's my Wise Girl." Percy placed a sweet and tender kiss on her head.
Annabeth looked up to kiss him on the cheek in response, making Percy blush. She loved when she was able to make him blush because he would get all flustered and cute.
"I've been thinking about that new prophecy..." She confessed, closing the book.
"Oh. Well you said so yourself, sometimes prophecies take hundreds of years. It won't be about us...right?"
"I can't give you an answer on that Percy. We can only hope it doesn't involve us. I'm sure we have nothing to worry about though."
Even Annabeth didn't believe herself. It was true what she had said, all they can do is hope. Hope wasn't strong in their lives, so much of it was lost. Although thinking of the previous prophecy, it took like a hundred years! Who knows how long this could take.
"Well if we're in the prophecy or not...we've got this. I mean this camp just defeated Kronos, what else could the gods do to us?" Percy added.
Annabeth scoffed.
"You are hearing yourself right?" She asked.
"Yeah...I don't even buy that." Percy took a second to think.
They both laughed. Annabeth leaned against him again.
"Knowing you I don't buy a single thing you say." She pushed a strand of hair away from his eyes.
