Annabeth was having a terrible day. Her stepmom was treating her like some piece of trash, her dad was too busy to even care, and she swore she was going to kill Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Not only did she win Student Council President but the only reason she did was that she bribed a few extra votes. Her friends had invited her to a party. Usually, she was smart enough to avoid high school parties but they said it would be "innocent". When she arrived there was music blasting through the house, she wasn't even sure who's house it was.

Now here is where things started to get interesting...

"No way I'm kissing you." Annabeth crossed her arms while sitting on the carpeted closet floor.

"You don't have to." The guy sitting across from her smirked, "I'm Percy."

"I know who you are." Annabeth turned her head away from the boy. She knew Percy. The most popular guy in school, cutest too. That's her opinion though. She liked him since freshman year but Percy never noticed her.  "This is gonna be the longest 7 minutes of my life," Annabeth said trying to scoot as far away from him as possible. Unfortunately, the closet was small, there wasn't much room for her to move around.

They had small talked for a little bit. Nothing much came out of it though. Percy knew who Annabeth was. She was the smartest girl he had ever met.

"I'd rather be here than at home." Annabeth's face saddened a little. Percy noticed how she tugged upon her long-sleeve shirt to reveal a scar.

"Same." Percy lifted up the side of his shirt. His entire side was bruised and red.

Annabeth would've never guessed Percy would be in that situation. He seemed so perfect, his life seemed perfect. There was a new feeling both of them had towards each other, sympathy.

"My step-mom."

"My step-dad."

They both didn't need to say much to understand what the other was talking about. Annabeth had gotten a little fonder of Percy. She started to feel more comfortable around him. Like she could finally talk to someone about the things she could never tell her real friends about.

"We still have 5 minutes." Percy pulled out his phone which lit up the dark closet.

Annabeth noticed how green his eyes really were. They weren't like emerald green eyes as Rachel Dare had but they were like the ocean. She couldn't help but stare at them.

"I never thought someone as perfect like you would be going through the same thing as me," Annabeth said to him.

"Perfect? Gee thanks." He ran a hand through his hair and grinned. Annabeth just rolled her eyes and laughed. "Can I kiss you?" He asked. "Only if that's okay though, cause I don't wanna pressure you-"

Annabeth didn't know what to say.

"Sure."

They both leaned in and Percy smiled. The door swung open and the room was filled with "oooooohhhhhhh" and giggles. They both went back to the living room and exchanged phone numbers.

"I'll text you," Percy said waving bye as he needed to get going.

Ikkkk it's short pls don't come at meeee!!! This was just a small idea and I thought it would be okay-ish as a short lil oneshot. -Jayde
