It's short but I was in the mood to write smth sad. XD PREPARE TO MOST LIKEY CRY lol

Annabeth's POV

I woke up to the sound of campers outside. Another day at camp, another day with Percy. We started dating a couple of months ago. He was the best, a bit annoying but definitely the best. I slipped on a camp t-shirt and got ready for my day, combing my hair back into a ponytail. I joined Malcolm and my siblings for breakfast. Percy hadn't gotten up yet but it was normally like that. He wasn't just a Seaweed Brain, he was also a Sleepy Head. Especially because he was teaching a butt load of campers sword fighting and it kinda drained him. Besides if I went to go check on him people would start "assuming things". Let me tell you I didn't want that. I knew the rule of no boys and girls left alone in the same cabin but it's not like we're gonna do anything. Chiron trotted up next to the Athena table and looked at me.

"Do you know where Percy is?"

"Probably still sleeping." I took a bite and planned to sacrifice the rest. I wasn't in the mood to eat. Something inside of me was off. Like something was missing. I still had my dagger, my hat was looped around my short belt loops. Nothing was missing.

"Should you go check on him?" Malcolm asked.

"Would that be okay?" I looked up and Chiron and he obliged.

"Just no funny business." Chiron made a stern face and I nodded in agreement.

I made my way over to the Poiseden Cabin and knocked on the door first. Percy was the only one in the cabin except for sometimes Tyson, his half-brother would stay too. That's why his cabin was always really messy, only he was there. There was no response so I knocked again.

"Hey Seaweed Brain! You have five seconds before I bust your door down!!!" I yelled, laughing a little to myself. There was still no response.

Something was off so I held the dagger in hand, just to be safe. I twisted the knob and that's when the blood drained from my body. I frantically scanned my eyes around the cabin. Percy was just here last night. We were together in his cabin last night just talking. I started to feel my entire body just break. Nothing was functioning. I stepped in and searched every last part of cabin. Where was he?

He wasn't here. He's gone. Oh my gods he's gone. He would've told me if he was leaving. OH MY GODS

I ran back to Mess Hall as fast as I could. Usually running from monsters I was pretty fast but this was new record speed.

"CHIRON!!!! PERCY'S GONE!" At this point, I was on the verge of tears.

"ACTIVITIES CANCELLED! They'll resume once we find Percy!" Chiron announced. Everyone stopped what they were doing and the Aries Cabin, led by Clarisse started to search the woods. Some of the older councilors searched the borders but found nothing.

I tried to see if Percy had gone home but Sally said she hadn't seen him either. I didn't want to worry her but to be honest I was more worried then anyone. Things were finally looking up for us, and now he's gone, missing. I felt so empty without him.

He'll be fine. It's Percy, he's strong. If he's alive. HIS ACHILLES SPOT! He'll be fine. Unless monsters find his Achilles spot!

Everyone left me alone that day. I was driving myself insane with the thought that Percy could've been dead. The last time that happened he crashed his own funeral, maybe he'll show up if we have another one. I couldn't bear anything anymore. I let myself cry and knew I had to fix things. I'm a daughter of Athena. I can fix things. I've got this. Find Percy, bring him back and it'll all be okay. Back to the way things used to be, all okay.

At lunch we all ate in silence. No one had found any trace of Percy. I counted the hours he was gone, down to the minute.

3 hours and about 26 minutes
