"I didn't think you meant that much hair." I stood in front of the bathroom doorway and Casey stood in front of the mirror trying to shake the hair off of her clothes.
She was somehow able to cut off another 4 inches by herself and kept it even.
"At this point, cutting my hair is like a monthly thing. I think I may have control issues." I looked down at the floor and saw all of the pieces of black hair spread around.
"I had lunch with Gen today." She looked at my reflection in the mirror and smiled excitedly.
"That's so great. Did you have fun?"
"Yeah. It was nice to catch up and talk." I paused. "By the way...she knows about Will."
Casey turned around this time and walked closer to the doorway. "How?"
"He showed up and started acting weird, and then he invited me to watch a movie with him tonight," I said nonchalantly. "He kind of made it obvious."
"Well as long as she can keep a secret, you're good."
I walked over to my desk and sat down. "I hope so."
"I'm gonna take a shower and get ready for dinner in an hour."
She closed the door and I opened my laptop.
It was about 6:20 pm right now, so I should have enough time to get food with Casey and make it to my movie with Will.
Once my computer started up, I checked my notifications and a message from Darcy popped up. We hadn't spoken as often as we usually do. I'd been so distracted recently and he said he had a lot on his plate.
If Darcy is Will, I was guessing that football that had been taking up all of his time. Plus we did have finals coming up in about a week in a half.

I closed the tab of our conversation and opened up my email.
I saw that Professor Fitz sent our class an email so I opened it.
It was just a reminder about the writing competition results were coming out this Friday.
I'd honestly been so distracted recently I forgot about it. The same way I forgot how close we were to finals.
