I checked the time on my phone and it read 2:38 pm.

We made about 3 stops on our way and traffic was bad just like Sean had predicted.

We stopped for breakfast and then stopped at some random bakery to get some pies.

Sean called Will's Dad and told him that he was bringing someone but to not tell Will because it was a surprise.

He said it was okay with him and was excited to meet his new girlfriend. We both just laughed at that comment.

We then spent most of our car ride talking and playing music.

Sean was actually very funny. I could tell that he was definitely the jokester in his friend group. Something about his personality was both comforting and calming.

With the way Will described his friends and circle, I was afraid he'd be a little snotty and hard to talk to, but he was the exact opposite.

I learned that Sean also played football but had plans to attend law school after graduation. We both talked about how stressful post-graduation plans were.

And after what seemed like forever we finally showed up at Will's house.

I looked out of the window and saw that it was a large white house with a wrap-around porch. The outside was decorated with fall pieces and pumpkins and snow-covered the whole front walkway with trees lining the front yard.

The neighborhood was secluded and all of the houses seemed big. It was in the middle of nowhere.

I turned my attention from the house to see that there were multiple cars in the driveway.

"Are there gonna be a lot of people here?" I asked looking over at Sean.

He looked up from his phone. "Yeah, his whole family from out of town, his little sister, and probably some family friends."

"But no one from school right?" I asked.

The thought of someone from school recognizing me made me nervous all over again.

"No, just me."

I nodded and sighed out in relief. "Okay."

"Don't be worried. If it'll make you feel any better, I can say that we're dating." He unbuckled his seatbelt.

"How would that make me feel better?" I questioned.

"People wouldn't question your friendship with Will. They'll just think that you know him because we're together."

"I don't think that they will," I said suddenly remembering that I had to talk to him about us at some point today.

"Will doesn't bring any girls home so trust me when I say they will. Everyone won't buy that whole "we're just friends" act."

I squinted my eyes at him. "But it's not an act."

"Okay." He said with a tone of disbelief.

"Well, what should I say then?"

"I already gave you an idea." He said shutting the car off.

"Well, I'm not doing that." I unbuckled my seatbelt and picked up my bag from my feet.

"Well then...this is going to be interesting," He said with a sly smile.

I gave him an annoyed glare and he just shrugged.

"You ready?" He said with his hand on the door handle.

"No...in fact I think I'm gonna throw up," I said holding onto my stomach. I could already feel my nervous butterflies forming.
