We all spent the next 20 minutes eating in silence.

Even though I felt sick to my stomach, I managed to stuff down the rest of my food.

Casey threw out our plates in the garbage in our room and we all sat on the carpeted floor in a circle.

"We don't know if this is exactly true," Ben said first. "There is still room for possible error and no true conclusion can be made until we have all of the facts."

Casey rolled her eyes and poked him in the shoulder.

"Let's not get all scientific here. It's pretty clear that Will and Darcy make her feel the exact same." She said. "Science can't measure emotion Einstien."

Ben turned to her and gave her questioning look. "But...I think we should still include actual evidence so that we can draw observations and analyses when coming to our conclusion."

He turned back to me and sighed. "Maya, I'm gonna need all of the facts to make a clearer conclusion."

I would've laughed but I knew how serious he got when it came to math.

"Okay, let's start at the beginning," I said thinking back to a couple weeks ago.

"I met ModernDayDarcy around July...it was through this school support group. So he definitely goes to OSU."

Ben pulled out a writing pad from his back pocket and a pen.

Casey and I both exchanged a look of small laughter.

He scribbled something down. "Continue."

"Okay so, we've basically shared a bunch of stuff about our childhood with one another and he mentioned to me that his mom died in a house fire when he was little."

Casey's face dropped. "Oh my gosh. That's so awful." She whispered.

"Then I also remembered at the party when I got hurt, he mentioned that he remembers his mom having burns on her body and feeling like he couldn't do anything about it."

Ben continued to scribble and Casey looked at me in shock.

"Then he also mentioned that he lost his mom when he was really young."

"We also both openly spoke about how we found it super weird how easy it was to talk to one another."

Ben nodded then Casey and him both shared knowing a look.

"We both described it as a feeling of familiarity. Like we'd already met before."

Ben chewed at his lip and gave me a serious look.

I clasped my hands together, now realizing how all of this sounded out loud.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"Um..well," I tried and think back. "A few weeks ago, Darcy said that he met someone, and ever since then he hasn't really been responding as frequently."

Casey's mouth fell open and Ben looked up from his notepad. "When exactly did he tell you this?"

"It was...actually...the day Will and I finished our first tutoring session."

"Oh my gosh, it has to be him," Casey said.

Ben shook his head slowly. "Possibly not though."

She gave him a dubious look. "Ben are you dense?"

He looked at her, insulted. "Excuse me?"

"It's clearly Will. Everything points to Will."

He sighed and showed her the writing pad. "I can see that, but there's still a 15 percent chance it's not."
