A/N: I will be switching POVs in this chapter by the way and it's gonna be a bit long so grab a snack.
Maya's POV
*10 minutes later*
I leaned my back against the cabinet doors in the bathroom as I sat on the floor trying to calm down.
I don't know how long I'd been here but I just wanted to go home.
I almost wanted to laugh at this situation. I was snowed in with a house full of people I didn't know on my birthday and my best friends couldn't even get to me.
I heard a knock on the door and quickly pulled my knees to my chest.
"Someone's in here," I said weakly.
"Maya. It's me." I heard Will's voice through the door and sighed in relief.
"Um....I'm fine. Everything's fine." I said hearing how small I sounded.
"I'm sorry about the guys and for telling them about us when I promised to keep it a secret."
I was so distracted that I forgot he even said that earlier.
"Come out." He said in a soft voice. "I want to see your face."
I wiped my eyes, feeling the puffiness of my cheeks already.
I sniffled quietly and rose to my feet.
I pulled the door open slightly and peaked out. Will stood with his arm on the frame of the door scanning my face. I could see the worry lines forming near his eyes.
He was going to want to talk and to be honest...I didn't think I could do that without crying right now. I could barely close my eyes without being scared and I was so angry that I couldn't communicate it through words.
"Babe, we have to talk." He whispered leaning closer to me.
I stopped for a moment and my lips twisted instinctively.
"What?" He said noticing the change in my face.
"You called me babe." I know I sounded like a little kid but I'd never been called "babe" before.
A cute smirk spread on his face. "That's because you are my babe."
I leaned my head against the door frame and wrinkled my nose in fake disgust. "Gross."
"Gross." He said mocking my tone. "Now, come here."
I pulled open the door fully and wrapped my arms around my stomach.
He pulled me to his chest and engulfed me in his arms. I felt a soft kiss on my cheek and I smiled to myself.
With an arm still around me, we both walked to his room.
His bed was neatly made and a small box with a bow sat on the edge of his desk.
I turned around and watched as Will turned the lock on his door. I felt goosebumps prickle my skin.
I sat down on his bed, crossing my legs.
"I didn't sleep last night," I said in a low voice.
He moved swiftly across the room and sat down beside me. His hand went on my thigh, rubbing it lightly.
"Bad dream?"
I reached my hand out and held his cheek in my hand, rubbing my thumb against his face.
"I was being chased by Cooper," I said casually. "He grabbed me and put his hand over my mouth and...I couldn't hear myself scream." I felt a lightweight fall off my chest. That was probably the most honest I'd been in a while.
