Chapter 18: Parting

A day had past and finally I already decided. I will leave Luxvell High for good, yun naman talaga ang gusto ko in the first place as I enter this school.

I'm in the passenger seat at si Kuya Acer naman ang nagmamaneho, he's using my car going to Luxvell High.

Tahimik lang akong nakatanaw sa matataas na pader ng Luxvell High, kahit na ilang beses ko nang nakikita ito it still amazed me. Ang large silver carvings nito maging ang phoenix emblem na tanaw na tanaw because of it's size and silver, shiny look.

I sighed deep, I'm not yet ready to enter the school. I know some of them knows about the incident that night...

"You okay, Rei?"

I looked at Kuya Acer. He's facing the road habang nagfofocus sa pagmamaneho. I know too that he's a bit weighing out. Alam niyang hindi pa ako handang makita ang lahat dito sa school na to...

"I'm just fine..." tipid kong sagot.

He glances at me and smiled a bit then sighs. Itinuon nya na lamang uli ang atensiyon sa daan at pinili ko na lang ding wag umimik at tumingin na lang sa labas ng bintana ng kotse.

As the car entered the big gate, agad na tinungo namin ang HQ building ng Luxvell High. Yeah, it's really good to have such path designated para madaanan ng mga malaking sasakyan like cars and vans, also parking lots. Sobra talagang lawak ng school na to..

As we go and parked the car, we entered the building and kuya talks to the lady in the desk.

Tumunganga na lamang ako sa malaking cylinder glass aquarium and watch the fishes there. It's so gigantic, it's a weird stuff here pero it's really amazing.

Hindi na kami nagsayang pa ng oras at agad na pumunta sa office ni Mr. Chains.

He was sitting at his swivel chair. Nakatalikod ito at nakatanaw sa labas through the glass wall behind his table. He is sipping on his cup of coffee, and he knew that we arrived.

"There's something odd on this coffee...." he murmured, chuckle then turn to us.

"Good morning Mr. Chains.." bati ng kuya ko and he bowed a bit for respect.

"Greetings too, the weather outside is good. Isn't it?" he replied.

Wala akong kibo at naupo na lamang sa front seat on his table. Mas pipiliin ko na lamang manahimik at makinig sa usapan nila ni Kuya...

"Yeah, fair weather Sir..." my Kuya smiled and look outside as well..

"Life is like a weather too, sometimes it's rainy, sometimes it's sunny. A lot of changes too happened but it didn't last long..." Mr. Chains suddenly said.

He looked at me and smiled. Hindi ko alam kung para ba sa akin ang sinabi niya, but if it is I appreciate that words he imparted.

Minsan may time talagang naiinis ako sa matandang to pero minsan din naman ay hindi mo siya makokontra. He's an intelligent man afterall.

"By the way, here are all the documents of your sister's school records. Pass it to her next school and it will be all settled. Papasok na lang siya roon and no other problems...."

Mr. Chains held the white folder galing sa cabinet nya at binigay niya ito kay Kuya..

"Actually, I still haven't choose a school as of now, I'm quite busy for work..."

"Kung wala kayong mahahanap na school which will accept her this school period, Luxvell High will welcome her..."

Agad na nagpaalam kami as he told all the things needed and what to be done. He drove my car papunta sa work niya.
