Jim nodded to the screen and the pair watched as the, now three person, group monotonously walk into another room past the dead body of the governor, Astrid leant forward pressing a few buttons to switch the cameras to the ones in the next room. As she did this, Seb re-entered. He sat down on the armchair at the end of the large sofa Jim was sat on and raised his eyebrows

"What did I miss?"

"The governor killed himself," Astrid replied casually to the tiger, sitting back down next to Jim, "is she asleep?"

"Yup." He nodded and sat down.

-

"As a motivator to your continued co-operation, I'm now reconnecting you."

-

The noise of a telephone line could be heard, and Sherlock got to talking to the little girl again. As he spoke to her, softly, Astrid frowned at his kindness.

"He's a terrible sociopath." She acknowledged, "I mean, wouldn't a sociopath be more interested in being a smart arse than saving some little girl." She then smirked "I've noticed he's been a little bit more 'human' lately. It's probably coz of Johns wife that died to be honest."

"He killed her." Jim said calmly.

"What?"

"Well,  she took a bullet for him and Watson blamed him."

"How do you know this?"

"Coz I know who killed her."

"Course you do." Astrid smiled and sighed, "who was it?"

"Her name's Viviane," he answer and Astrid scoffed.

"She sounds old."

"She was old," Jim chuckled, "she was PA to Lady Smallwood."

"Why did she kill Mary?" Astrid asked leaning back into the sofa, still watching Sherlock talking over the phone to the little girl on the plane.

"She'd sold national secrets about some sort of assassination unit. Someone had found out and she was gonna kill them, but Sherlock got in the way of her plan. And then..." Jim clicked his tongue, "Mary got in the way of him."

-

"Six months ago, a man called Evans was murdered; unsolved except by me." Eurus continued the problem on the screen.

-

The three in the living room set into silence watching Sherlock messing around with a rifle.

-

"Now, if the police had any brains they'd realise there are three suspects, all brothers. Nathan Garrideb, Alex Garrideb and Howard Garrideb."

-

Astrid leant her ear towards Jim and frowned

"She told you this?"

"Who?"

"Viviane," She said her name in a mocking upper class accent.

"You still on about that?"

"Yeah, how did you know what happened?" Astrid shrugged, "I mean, wasn't she arrested?"

"Yes."

"How did you find out?"

"Not directly, of course." He shrugged, "she told people, who told people, who told me."

"And why didn't you tell me this?"

"'cause it didn't matter."

Astrid frowned, "we're meant to be at the top together," she grinned and quoted her husbands statement, "'that's the point'".
