A year went by.
That was a year of boredom.
Astrid Wingham had spent the year mostly grieving. She couldn't get her consulting criminal out of her head for a minute, it always appeared to come up in a chat with either Sebastian or Faith, or when flashes of the past would pop up in her brain.
One thing that made Astrid's mood slightly lift up, was the 'friendship' growing between her two best friends. It was very rare that they would visit her separately. They'd spend there time giggling at each others little jokes and sitting very close to each other on the sofa. The pair were never seen without the others company, and after a few months they finally admitted to Astrid that they were becoming 'a thing' as Faith had put it.
Another thing that had made the year not a complete waste of Astrid's life was the reply from the Iceman. In all honest, Astrid had forgotten about anything she had spoken to the older Holmes brother with, but when she received a link to an online folder, she instantly remembered. The link gave her all the information she could ever need or want on one Lucas Hansel.
Also known as her father.
Seconds after she browsed through the information., she received a text from the same number.
Now, who is he?
MH
Astrid smirked to herself and switched off her phone. Perhaps she'd give it a day or so before replying. She saved the file onto her laptop and continued to browse through it. It showed all sorts of basic information like date of birth, and family history- which was rather interesting- but Astrid was looking for a home address. She found out where he lived and immediately prepared herself. She needed to do this, she needed to confront her demons.
Astrid spent ten minutes making sure that she looked impeccable. She didn't want to over-do it. She found a pair of black jeans that were ripped at the knees and a burgundy blouse. She tucked it in to her jeans, before finishing off with a black jacket and black boots. She threw on a black leather jacked and looked at herself in the mirror and smiled softly before running out the house, she typed the address into the car and drove off
The journey lasted around an hour and a half. That was an hour and a half of Astrid fretting to herself about what she was going to say, whilst, every five minutes considering to turn back. She had, of course, been to the house before, but it was in a daze and was forced. She had been meaning to confront her father the minute she found out about who she truly was, but she never had the guts to do so.
She approached the familiar modern building and stopped at the gates. She pressed the buzzer in front of the gate. There was a muffled voice and then a deep English male voice answered.
"Hello?" the voice spoke and Astrid cleared her throat.
"Hello."
"How can I help you?"
"I'm here to speak to Lucas Hansel." Astrid spoke calmly.
Calmly.
