As night began to fall over the big mansion in the middle of nowhere, Astrid began to feel sleepy, however, she knew she couldn't fall asleep in this house so she decided to get out of the spot that she had concealed herself in for the past hour or so and decided to scout out a place where she could lock her self in for the night, over fear that her needy ex-boyfriend might try to find her and stick to his word.
Speaking of ex boyfriends, that was another thing she had to deal with. Once she had found a small room that could be locked from the inside that had a small bed in the corner she sat there for a little while longer until she was sure that all action in the house had ceased and everyone had gone to bed.
She crept out of the room at half past twelve at night. The entire house was silent. She somehow remembered her way to the little place where her and Amelie had spoken earlier in the day and made her way down the corridor she had pointed down. She went down another small set of steps to a long row of doors, each with a name tag on it.
"Convenient." Astrid mumbled as she paced down the hallway glancing at each label. She spotted a nametag that read 'H. Samuels' and smirked, "gotcha."
She looked up and down the hall before reproducing the tool she had used to break into the house to pick open the lock to Samuels's door. When she got to the door she saw her old friend asleep on the tiny bed and chuckled.
"Never thought we'd be here again." she looked around the room and spotted a British Army Browning L9A1 on the table next to the bed, "seriously, dad?"
She shook her head and picked up the gun. She stepped back gripping the gun perfectly, pointing it at the man in the bad. She kicked the foot of the bed, shaking it and causing the big man inside it to jolt upright. He looked at Astrid who had her lips pressed together in a sly smile.
"Alexa?"
"Alright, lover boy," she said dramatically as Harrison put up his hands, "let's play a game," the buff man frowned. "It's called, do exactly what I fucking say," there was a pause before Astrid continued, "first things first, is this a set up?"
"What?"
"Did he set me up again?"
"N-no, I-I don't think so."
"Right, get up, Harry."
"You remember me?" he said pulling off the bedsheets. To Astrid's surprise he was completely naked.
"Oh for fuck's sake," Astrid called out lowering the gun, "please put some clothes on before I run out of patience and shoot you."
Astrid looked away as the man struggled to put some clothes on, "looks like you and I ended up with the same career path."
"I'm not a fucking body guard, I'm an assassin."
"You're a what?"
"Okay fine, I'm a field agent," she growled, "but I'll still shoot you if you don't hurry the fuck up."
"Alright, alright," he said pulling his t-shirts, "it's nothing you haven't seen before."
"Oh god, can you not," she sighed in disgust, "Jesus, you are so fucking dumb."
"What's wrong with you?" he asked defensively.
"I'm not even gonna tell you, you clearly haven't been paying attention," she shook her head as the man stood up, towering over her, "oh for crying out loud. You're even taller than you used to be?"
"Sorry." he said quietly.
"Where is it?"
"Where's what?"
"The earpiece you took from Faith?"
"That was Faith?"
"You didn't recognise her?"
"She's changed."
"Whatever," she sighed, "now go fetch."
The man rolled his eyes and began to rummage through a pile of cloths at the foot of his bed.
"How long have you been working here?"
"About five years."
"Jeez," she replied, "you know he's my dad, right?"
"What?"
"Yup," she popped the 'P' and smiled, "oh and my name's Astrid, not Alexa."
"Astrid?"
"It's a long story, one that I'm not wasting on your stupid ass." Harrison frowned. He then pulled out the earpiece and handed it to her, "thank you very much."
"It's fine."
"Oh and, I'm keeping this," she lifted up the gun and grinned she opened the door to leave before popping her head back through the doorframe, "guten nacht."
She blew her ex a kiss before leaving the room and heading straight to the roof.
