"Jim, calm down."

James Moriarty's grip on the steering wheel tightened as the three drove away from their previous destination. He, for some reason, insisted on being the one to drive them to wherever they would go to mull things over. Sebastian and Faith sat anxiously in the back, scared that if he lost his cool they would have to think more about their own survival than Astrid's.

The car swivelled on the road as Jim's hands shook. He wiped the sweat off his brown before taking a deep breath and trying to calm himself,

"Double crossing son of a bitch." he muttered angrily under his breath.

"Jim!"

"Shut up, Moran."

"Jim!" he repeated, "pull over or you're gonna kill us."

Jim ignored him for a while, until realising that it would be best for Astrid if they didn't end up in a crash. At the next junction he got off the motorway and pulled over to the side of the road. He turned off the engine and twisted his body round to look at the back seat.

"You two seem pretty quiet considering your best friend has just been taken hostage," Jim enquired angrily, "what's that about, huh?"

"Take it out on the car, not us." he said and opened the door, he looked at Faith and gestured for her to follow him, "come on."

Shortly after the couple's escape from the car, Jim began to violently bash at the steering wheel and the dash board, simultaneously letting out a deep loud sickening yell.

Outside the car, Faith and Seb stood, arms linked together in the cold. They both rolled back and fourth on their heels as they stood out in the fresh British air. Faith looked up her boyfriend,  who looked back at her. She frowned and gestured to the car.

"Oh, right, yeah." Seb chuckled, "Love is a pretty new emotion for Jim. Just needs to get the ropes of it."

"Right." Faith nodded and bit her lip, "what's gonna happen now?"

"I have absolutely no idea," Seb said, looking to the car and then turning to stand opposite Faith, "I'm sorry you've had to be part of this."

He cupped her face with her cheek and she respond by pressing their bodies together into a tight warm hug, "are you sure Jim is the only one getting soft?"

"Nope." He sighed and pressed his lips together. They stood together for a while until they heard the car door open. They broke apart to see Jim get out of the vehicle and slam the door shut. He approached the two and slipped his hands into his jeans pockets, "What's the plan then, boss?"

"I have Astrid's earpiece, I've turned out off so that they can't hear what we're saying, but I told her to find the earpiece in the guard's pocket," he explained as he took out the earpiece, "apparently the guard was her ex. Don't know if that's a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hansel chose him deliberately."

"I knew I recognised him." Said Faith, "so what? We just wait."

"Pretty much."

(A/N I know these chapters are coming out faster and faster one after the other, but I'm anxious to get the Hansel storyline over so that we can get back to what we all came here for (Jim). This story is gonna be much longer then the first and it's gonna go beyond the Sherlock cannon and I've added another OC to it who will show up later on. Thanks for hanging on. And if your still here from when I released book 1, thanks for sticking with me. I recently reread the whole thing and I didn't realise how much of a slow burn it has been. I assure you things will become more romantic relatively soon. Be sure to vote and let me know what you think of my fic. As I'm writing this A/N I've almost finished the story, I have a few chapters left to write, so this book will be getting updated very often. Stay safe and happy reading xx)
