27: Promise

Before we are able to leave the vampire's territory, Jaewha asks to speak with me privately. 

I have already told him everything that has happened. He seems concerned but there is a spark in his eyes that reminds me of the warrior and blacksmith I met.

"Please... promise me that if the sword is needed, you will give it to someone with a pure heart." 

I smile softly. "I promise." Even if I mean it, a chill runs down my spine as I wish to not have to give it to someone... 

The sword can take over the person who uses it because of the spell it has... Which takes its toll on the warrior. As far as I know, only two people have used it. Jaewha and his brother in a previous war but by the time we were attacked by fairies, it was long lost... it has been found just a decade ago in the deepest part of a lake, forgotten right next to a human skeleton.

After the promise, I go back to the car. 

With the two medallions in my purse, I walk to the car where Jin is already waiting for me.

"Let's goo!!!" Jin happily says as he can't wait any longer to be back.

Soon enough, we hit the road. 

Miles and miles of forest passed by fast outside the window as I looked outside bored.

"YOU ARE BACK!" Someone screams in the back seat making Jin hit the break right away.

Both of us look behind startled but I laugh as soon as I see JB's happy face. Jin scowled as he looked to the elf but the elf's gaze was pinned on me. My mate started to drive once again.

"JB... I'm having a hybrid," I told him right away.

He frowned. "What?" 

Just as he was figuring out what to say, I felt the baby move. My heart fluttered once again and I think it will flutter every time I feel my baby move.

JB's gaze pins on my belly for a second. "I saw that..." he trailed off. He looked up thinking as he fastened his seatbelt, deciding to stay with us the ride. "I'm staying with you then."

"Wait, what?" Jin finally asked. I can feel that he does not like the plan one bit.

"If the baby is developing this fast. At this point, I don't know when something could happen..." 

"Do we need you?" Jin asks rudely.

I smack his shoulder. "Why are you so mean to him?" I finally ask him.

He pouts as he feels my hostility with him. "Because! How come he gets to... to be with you all the time when I can't," he complains in tiny with a cute pout on his face.

I facepalm myself. "He is like my older brother! If you had a sister, I wouldn't be bothering you all the tie asking why you spend time with your sister," I say in tiny as well as I don't want to drag this argument into something bigger.

"Fine!" He says finally giving up.

We go inside the Purple Province as I was the one who made the protective spell. JB quickly walks to the infirmary to know what medications are missing so he can help.

Jin and I walk together toward the place I call home around here. It is not the house I grew up in but it is on the same spot... close enough.

Once we go inside, Jin looks at the necklace and then up to me. I chuckle. I know if he could, he would have already yanked this "dammed thing" far away from me but he can't touch it... no one can other than me as on as it is on my neck.

I take the necklace off and then place it back inside my purse.

I gasp as soon as Jin throws me over the bed somehow delicately. He hovers over me as he sniffs me. 

He starts his weird dog-like thing in the crook of my neck where his mark lays. He starts to go down from there and stop right on my belly. He looks at my belly lovingly.

I tangle my fingers in his head as he lays down carefully over my belly with his face sideways so he can listen to his baby moving. 

As if our baby felt it, there was a movement in my belly making Jin jolt to look right at our baby. 

He smiled like a fool. "I'm sure he felt me."

I laughed. "Can you feel his presence already?"

He nodded. "If it wasn't for JB; until now I would be telling you that you are pregnant."

I snorted. "Well, sir. I felt the baby moving before you could sense my pregnancy so it would be me telling you."

"Will see that in the future."

I frowned. "What do you mean?" 

Out of nowhere, an evil smirk took over his face. "You don't think our baby will be an only child... do you?"
