ENCHANTRESS: The Tale Of The Fallen Kingdom

PROLOGUE

     

       "MUM, DAD, PLEASE... I wanna come." my tears are streaming down my face as I said those words. They are leaving again. I don't even know where they were going every time they leave, my mum bend her knees on the floor and Dad did the same.

"Sweety, you can't come. It's too risky you will be safe here."
Mum said smiling while caressing my cheeks.

"Well be back before you even miss us." Dad said while holding my hand.

They said that they need to go somewhere far to take care of the things. "Saan po ba kasi kayo pupunta?" I tried so hard not sob.

My Mum hug me tight and whisper. "Someday sweety, you'll know and I promise you'll love that place because that's where we came from." Nangunot naman ang noo ko, I honestly don't understand.

"Promise, well be back home safe. I still wanna make you some strawberry cake, you know." my Dad chuckled.

I sigh. I concede "Okay, I know you'll be back because you promise. I love you both so much and I'm gonna miss you so please hurry back to me." I hug them again and kiss them both.

"My little princess we love you to so, so, so much." Dad whisper.
"More than words." mum said, and now I wanna cry again. But mom already let go.

"We have to go now sweety, please listen to yaya Liza okay?"
Bilin ni Mum she smiled at me ganon din si dad.

Mabait naman akong tumango.
"Please, take care." pahabol ko sa kanila.

"Mahal na Mahal ka namin Gale, always remember that." Mum said before getting in the car and dad open the window and send his flying kiss and waves goodbye.

As I look at there car moving away, I sighed heavely, trying to eliminate the heavy energy that I've been feeling since this morning, this is one of the reason why I wanna come with them but they're right. I can't come, it's risky for a thirteen years old teenage girl, even with my powers and ability that I can't still fully grasp yet, knowing that the demons are just lurking around the corner and I trust them they made a promise and I know they will come back no matter what.

AS THE DAYS past by, I entertain myself with reading books and self studying. Sometimes I would train alone using my ability and physical combat that my parents taught me. And then weeks pass, still my parents hasn't return yet, then months. Still no sign of them. I'm starting to get anxious they're never been away from me that long its almost two months and still no parents.

Just like today, I can't even eat my meals properly I wanted to see them so bad, what's taking them so long? then the door bell rang. Ate liza gets out from the kitchen to open the door but I stopped her. "Ako na po ate baka sina Mommy nayan." I smiled sweetly, cannot contain the excitement to see my parents, tumango naman siya.

Halos masobsob na ako sa pagmamadali, I quickly open the door but my smile faded away when I saw a stranger. A woman.

"You must be Gale." said the woman, I just nodded. "Who are you?"

"I'm Rosaine Van Doren and I will be the one to take care of you from now on." She smile but it was a sad one.

"What are you talking about? Where are my parents? My Mum? My Dad?" I tried to ignore the nervousness that started to creep in my chest, my vision started to get blurry, No. please! It can't be! No! No!

She looks into my eyes and said the words that destroy my world and will forever bring pain in me.

"They're Gone."
