Promised to Fight

Chapter 1

I promise.

Clarke's POV :

I lay facing Lexa's bareback I trace her beautifully designed tattoo with my finger. My mind only thinkings about the words she nearly said to me, they reply over and over in my mind as I feel her stir ever so slightly under my touch.

She turns to face me, her finger gently brushing a strand off my hair behind my ear, her gorgeous green enchanting eyes staring at me, I lean forward placing a gentle kiss on her soft tender lips.

Suddenly I remember that I have to leave sadness hits me like a wave, I  look loving at the beautiful commander lead right before me, a smile resting her on lips.

"If Octavia and I are going to make it behind the blockade by Dawn-" I'm cut of by Lexa placing a finger to my lips to silence me.

"shhh" she says as a sad expression cross the might Heda face. I would love to stay but my people need me, Octavia needs me or do they, what if staying here with Lexa is the best thing for all of us, Lexa lowers her finger from my lips and just lays there, staring into each other eyes, her beautiful forest eyes.

"did you mean it?" suddenly I break the silents and Lexa smiles up at me, a confused expression settles on her features.

"mean what?" she asks with a concerned expression,her gorgeous green eyes look away from me and I place a finger under her chin and pull her face towards mine, I want to look at her longer,take in all her beauty.

"about me staying here in polis with you, would I be safe?" she softens her expression and take my hand in hers, kissing it gently, her soft lips landing on my skin causing my cheek to heat up.

"Clarke your alway welcome here  I would never want you to leave" she says and I smile cuddling into her side and kissing the croak of her neck gently.

"I can't promise you'll be safe here Clarke, but if anyone ever hurts you I will destroy them, I would die to protect you" Lexa says abruptly, I smile at her and kiss her lips gently.

"and I you, if anyone hurts you I will make them pay, though we live in a war zone Lexa. We can't be certain of anything, but promise me no matter what happens you'll fight to survive, fight to Live" I say resting my hand on her waist. I couldn't imagine losing Lexa after all of this, I need her she my heart and soul. The thought of losing her makes my eyes well up.

"if you promise to fight as well, to live" she says her words filled with so much emotion as she props her self up leaning on her arm.

"I promise" I says and then Lexa drops from her position and wrap her arm around me, I rest my head on the chest and just lay there until I drift of to sleep.

I just want to say that some of the spelling in the book may not be perfect this chapter was written back in 2020 and I've only just picked this book back up again as I've finally got an idea of where I want this to go!

So long story short I started writing this when the idea for The Skaiprisa came into my head and completely took over! I've also been thinking about some other idea but I just wanted to pick this story back up as I loved writing back when I started.

So I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I looked forward to updating more often again!!!

I just also want to say a huge thank you for all the love and support on my last booked 'The Skaiprisa' and I just hope this booked is as good!
