Chapter 17

Let's go home

Clarke

After almost three days resting I feel its time me and Lexa head home to polis, though mum and Lexa don't think I can travel yet I'm sure I'll be fine, I just don't want to be here anymore.
This place make me feel as though ill close my eye and Pike will start torturing me again, or I'll wake and this would have all be a dream and I'll never get to see Lexa again.

Suddenly I'm pulled out of my own mind by the sound of Lexa voice, I look up to see her stood at the door a worried expression on her face though she trys to hide it, I can see it in her forest green eyes.
She stride over to me and takes a seat, a smile crosses her face as she wraps her hand around mine.

"Clarke Hodnes, I have been talking to your mother and she finally agreed your strong enough to travel back to Polis, if you feel you ready" she says softly, she so sweet she never wants to pressure me into anything.

"I'm ready to go home" I say pulling myself up, I tence in the pain from all my bruises and other injuries I got from Pike including my fractured rib.

"good, I will have a few horses tacked up to take us all back to Polis" she say standing, she placed a quick kiss on my forehead before turning around and starting to walk off but I call her back.

"Lexa, you said all of us, who's coming with us to polis?" I asks and she smile as she looks at me, I can see the love in her eyes a they sparkle.

"Octavia, Lincoln and Raven will be joining us" she then turns and walks out, I can't help but smile knowing I'll have more then just Octavia to talk to in Polis, Raven and I have grown so close in these last few days, if its not Lexa with me it her or my mum. I'm going to miss my mother very much, but I'm sure we'll still speak often.

Lexa basically carrys me out, heading towards the horse, were a horse stood, there only enough for everyone else.

"Lexa, where's my horse?" I ask looking at her, she just gives me a soft smile and continues to walk towards the horse.

"you will ride with me, back to Polis" she says as we approach her horse, I let go of Lexa and pat the horse.

Lexa helps me mount the horse and then climbs on herself, she wraps her arms around my waist and quickly kiss my cheek from behind. I can see meny of the Arkadians looking in confusion at the small kiss.

"look after her" my mother says walking over and placing a hand on my thigh, I can feel Lexa nod her head in agreement.

"I will protect her until my dying breath" she says I feel and awe in my heart as she says that and a smile spreads across my face. I look at my mother whose also smiling.

"I love you Clarke" she says with sad eyes, I know it's hard for her to see me go but I can't stay here in Arkadia, I feel as though I'm suffocating with awful memories, of Pike and Mount weather.
I look around at the rest of my friends, Mum stands with Kane; which I still find disturbing. Jasper still hates me I can see it in his eyes, Bellamy looks so broke, he knows what he did was wrong but I don't think I can forgive him. Monty offers me a warm smile which I gladly return.
I look around and Raven is buzzing with excitement about going to Polis, O and Lincoln both look exactly please to be getting out of Arkadia and Indra look disappointed at me and Lexa for sharing a horse as its not proper protocol, Heda should only ride alone in case of danger.

So we head of, I rest my head on Lexa chest and she softly runs her finger through my hair in a soothing way, my eyes grow tired and soon the darkness of sleep steels me from the rest of the world.

Lexa

I hear a small snor escape Clarke mouth and I smile. Abby has told me she has to get as much rest as fiscally possible for her to heal properly and I intend to make that happen.
Octavia and Raven are chatting and laughing in front of us and Lincoln is talking with Indra, they all seem to happy.
