Abigail's pov
Abby laid on the bed in her room, staring straight at the ceiling. It's been three weeks since everything had happened and she was a month and a week pregnant. She couldn't believe it, it was still hard for her to accept that she was carrying the brothers' child. She still didn't know who the legitimate father could be but she was actually guessing it would be Seth.
She shook her head and sat up, she needed to stop thinking about that. Abby stood up from the bed and started pacing about the new room she had been given. It was bigger than the other one and had more windows for ventilation. The brothers figured that Abby would be more careful now that she was carrying a child as the motherly love kicked in the day she was informed about it. The door to her room was still locked and it was only opened to bring in her daily meals anytime she informed the servants that she didn't want to eat at the dining table.
The brothers had been kind enough to give Abby a little bit of freedom. They didn't hit her as much anymore and most times, she didn't even see them, except when they came for a night visit. Although Cepos rarely appeared, the only times he did were to sleep with Abby and leave immediately he was satisfied, but Seth came in every night and rarely even touched her, the only times he did, he strangely made Abby actually enjoy it by being extremely gentle with her, other times he would come in and just sleep on the same bed as her or sit on the chair in the room. He rarely said much though, just talked to her even though Abby rarely responded, she was a lot less talkative these days and only spoke to the child growing in her womb.
She was given freer and more comfortable clothes to wear nowadays, but the nightmares never stopped. They only dulled to the point of endurance when Seth lay on the same bed as her and held her in his arms. She was a lot more comfortable around him and actually cherished his touch, so much that she wondered if Stockholm Syndrome had finally hit her in the head. But then, she hated Cepos with a strong passion but didn't feel anything for Seth except comfort.
Abby thought about it usually and it was starting to confuse her even more. Seth abused her and raped her, but yet he makes the nightmares disappear by holding her in his arms. The times he sat on the chair, her body would burn for his comforting touch and she would still have nightmares but immediately he laid beside her and cuddled her, it would all come to an end and she would have a peaceful sleep.
It was even stranger that she moaned and returned his kisses whenever he would kiss her and he knew just where to touch her to have her quivering and begging for him but with Cepos, she was silent and only his groans filled the room. And whenever she told Seth that she didn't feel like it, he stopped but Cepos would just ignore her or simply smack her and tell her that she does what he wants.
Just then, the door opened and Seth stepped in. Abby turned to look at the grandpa clock that the brothers had generously let her have and found out that it was already night.
The sound of the door closing brought Abby's attention back to Seth who stopped in front of her and glanced down at her stomach. "How are you feeling, kitten?"
Abby didn't respond for a while and just stared, before recovering and nodding slowly while she turned away from Seth.
"Normal."
Seth scratched the back of his neck and winced. "Sorry. I don't know a lot about pregnancy."
Abby turned away from him completely. "Neither do I..." She started off softly. "—I'm an eighteen year old who was impregnated by two brothers whom she gave no consent to."
There was silence in the room for a while, Abby refused to look at Seth, afraid he would see the brokenness of her situation from her eyes.
"Technically, you're nineteen. Time passes a lot slower here than the normal time on Earth."
Abby rolled her eyes. "We're in Egypt. This is Earth."
"It isn't actually. We're not really on Earth but on land which can't really be defined as Earth. We're floating on a land that we call Egypt but is completely different from the Egypt down below where humans live and worship us..." Seth sighed, "—It's complicated."
Abby turned around to look at Seth. "What are you doing to me?"
Seth frowned. "I don't quite understand."
Abby's eyes filled with tears. "Why are you messing with my brain by being nice to me? I'm supposed to hate you for kidnapping me, for abusing me and taking advantage of my helplessness along with your brother, for giving me a child I never wanted until I was married and ready, for pausing my life halfway and destroying my dreams, for wrecking my career, for breaking me." The tears in Abby's eyes rolled down her cheeks. "—You still touch me. You still kiss me, you still have sex with me but I enjoy it and I'm not supposed to! I try to hate you but I can't! You messed up my head and everything, when you sleep with me, it's like you're making love to me but then I remember all you've done but I just feel numb."
Seth smirked then and said the simple explanation for everything. "It's simple. Your mind has accepted that I am your dominator and you can't do anything without me so it has made you feel like you should try to enjoy what I give you and now you're afraid that you might be falling in love with me."
Abby shook her head. "No! I could never love you. You took everything away from me! My life, my family, my happiness, my peace, my illusion of the world, my innocence, you even took Ahura." Abby felt her body break down at the name and she sobbed to herself. The guilt was eating her up alive and she didn't know what to do.
Arms suddenly wrapped around Abby but she didn't struggle because she actually felt safe. Seth then proceeded to kiss Abby and she completely surrendered herself to him.
His hands roamed her body which made her eyes roll back into her head as he bit and nipped at her neck. She wrapped her hands around his neck as he lifted her and took her to the bed, continuing to kiss her and as he lowered her onto the bed, Abby thought to herself that it was such a shame that Seth had to do all those things to her, she could have actually loved him if he didn't and even though she didn't hate him, it still didn't stop her from awaiting the perfect moment to escape because although she felt safe, her motherly instincts were greater and told her to flee from them for they would take her baby from her the moment he/she comes into the world.
She had to leave, she had to escape and she had to do it all soon...
