Abigail's pov

Abby didn't need to be told twice. She followed after Ahura who led her to a golden door where guests seemed to be trooping out of. Both her and Ahura were being cautious so as not to be caught right before they could touch freedom.

In the long hallway Abby suspected to be leading to the bathroom the map she had seen had depicted, Ahura who was leading their duo team was suddenly stopped by a tall and handsome looking man. He had pitch black hair and intoxicating amber eyes anyone could get lost in.

Ahura kept her head down submissively as he whispered in her ear. Due to the noise around her from passersby and the uncomfortable location they were currently in, Abby found herself unable to focus and hear exactly what he was telling Ahura even though she was only a metre away.

It didn't take long before Ahura was leaned against the wall, looking uncomfortable but not speaking as this strange looking man leaned forward, his hand disappearing behind the veil Ahura wore, and his head lowering to rest in the crook of her neck.

Oh fucking no...

Abby took a leap of confidence, aggravated due to all the events that seemed to be taking place in her life this time around. She rushed towards the guy, taking action before she could think properly. She saw red as she grasped the collar of his shirt and yanked him back...not that he budged, but the fact that his collar was now choking him was enough to make him retreat a few steps from Ahura.

"Princess!" Ahura whisper yelled. "–What do you think you're doing?"

"Teaching this dick a lesson."

The man looked at her with an amused expression despite the tightness of his collar. "Am I supposed to be the dick?"

Abby was quite surprised to find that he could speak and understand English, but didn't show it for much longer as she hissed in response, "Yes."

He chuckled and easily shrugged off Abby's already strained hand. She felt the blood flow in her arm once more as it dropped to her side limply, a tingly sensation being felt through it.

"What are you doing to her? Aren't you aware she's only a child or do none of you have any shame?" She scolded the man, intending to come off as threatening, but the amused look the man gave her in response told her that she wasn't succeeding.

He turned to Ahura and spoke as if Abby wasn't even there. "Ahura, where did you find this strange woman?"

Now, Abby was confused as Ahura replied like she knew exactly who the man was. "I'm sorry for her behaviour. She's the one who's meant to come with us."

Okay, what now?

"I'm sorry...coming with you?"

The man ran his hand through his hair and addressed Ahura once more like Abby hadn't even spoken, "Let's go. We don't have much time."

The man began walking and Ahura followed as well, pulling Abby along when she seemed to be frozen in confusion.

"I'll explain," she promised quietly, continuing to pull Abby along with her. Abby nodded, now putting in more effort to follow after the quick paced man.

She had thought he was a Prince, but upon studying him more, she realised that he wasn't actually dressed like the rest of the royals. He was dressed differently, just like the blonde guy from before...

"Is he..." Abby didn't have to complete her question, Ahura nodded, her eyes filling with tears, the hope so strong in her gaze that it immediately transferred to Abby. She was suddenly filled with a sense of calm, like this was going to be all over soon. Her body tingled as she smiled at Ahura, the girl whom had grown so close to Abby upon such a short time of knowing her also replicating the smile on her face.

"Yes. We will not be here much sooner, Princess. Prince Sethos would not be able to hurt you anymore."

Abby smiled, a need to laugh so strong within her, but she suppressed it, focusing on the task at hand. She wasn't completely out of this place.

The man stopped in front of them, looking around before wrapping his arm around Ahura's waist and pulling her into the bathroom. Abby followed confusedly.

What was that about?

Upon entering, they were greeted by a completely different scene. The blonde man was here and he immediately locked the door behind them.

"What took you so long?" He hissed at the dark haired man.

The man's only response was a stare in Abby's direction, the blonde man following his gaze and sighing when he had realised, but he dismissed Abby's presence entirely, whispering to the dark haired man in another language.

Abby looked at Ahura. "Why was he touching you like that?" She asked what had been plaguing her thoughts.

Ahura blushed and laughed, "Oh. He was trying to make it look like he was taking me here for..."

"Ohh."

Ahura giggled again embarrassedly, Abby feeling her neck grow hot.

"What are they talking about?" She gestured towards the men who seemed to be engaged in a serious conversation.

"Something along the lines of a spell...for us to escape."

Abby looked at Ahura. "You can't properly understand?"

Ahura shrugged. "I only know a little Greek."

Greek?

Abby was about to ask when she suddenly felt uncomfortable, like she was being watched. She looked around cautiously, but saw no one...

No one...

What she saw however, was...a bird.

A big brown bird sat comfortably on the window seal, no one seemed to notice the bird except her. Everything blurred into background sounds as the bird focused it's gaze on her, tilting it's head to the side, then turning forward till it's beak was facing her.

The fuck?

To say Abby was freaked out was an understatement. She tapped Ahura cautiously to reveal the bird to her, but she seemed to be paying no attention.

Suddenly there was a bang on the door that caught their attention.

Abby started to feel a sense of foreboding growing on her, she was paralyzed with fear as she realised something... The escape was too easy.

Her gaze was once again drawn to the bird sitting still on the window sill, unmoving, stoic...just watching her.

I'll be watching you like a hawk...

Abby swallowed in fear, tears filling her eyes as the bird finally moved, ruffling its feathers and tilting its head at her.

Found you, kitten...
