Abigail's pov

"The revival of Ra?" Ahura nodded at Abby's words then suddenly shrugged her shoulders again.

"Although I wouldn't want to believe that. As far as I know, no Egyptian has managed to free Ra since the days of the first supernatural Pharaoh." Abby wasn't too sure about that and started pacing the room nervously.

"Calm down, Princess. Even if they were to bring back Ra, he would never be as close to anyone like he was to Shakir..." Abby shook her head, not believing this.

"But, he will be close to the one who had managed to bring him back..."

"I'm not so sure about that, Princess. Shakir was one in a million from the stories I hear." Abby turned to look at Ahura cautiously.

"But, what about you? Would you want Ra back?" Ahura looked nervous as she scratched her arm.

"With all due respect Princess, it was proved that Ra was a terror and would forever be. No mortal ever believed the stories told by the man who was shown the visions, Pharaoh Dakarai the great, and since the mortals were still greatly bewitched, only he could do the work. He set out to get plenty of children and would tell them the story of Ra. The only people aware of this story are those in the castle as those out of it would spread the lies Zeus had fed to them." Abby still didn't understand something.

"If King Dakarai was randomly picked out by Ra, then how was he related to Shakir?" Ahura giggled at the question and it shocked Abby. It was a genuine smile that lit up Ahura' face.

"I admit it was quite hard to understand this fact, but overtime, you just accept it for what it is. Ra managed to fuse Pharaoh Dakarai' lineage and connect it with Shakir' making him related to him and not at the same time." Abby was confused at first but ignored it quickly after at Ahura confiding words.

"I am really scared, Princess. I must admit that my own life as well as yours could be at stake if this plan fails." Abby shook her head, placing her hands on Ahura' shoulders.

"Sh! We will get out of here safely, I promise..."

A different maid bowed when she had unlocked the door and come in.

"I am sorry for the disturbance, Princess." Abby got up from her bed and faced the girl who's head was still bowed.

The girl continued, "I was assigned to prepare you for the night hour dining with the second born prince of Queen Nerfertiti." Abby nodded, understanding the girl's words; she sat back down on the bed and looked out of the window.

"I will have to deny the Prince's request. I am not quite hungry at the moment." The girl looked at Abby with widened eyes.

"But..." Abby locked eyes with the girl.

"I am not hungry." The girl nodded in defeat.

"As you wish, Princess..." Abby didn't turn until she heard the click of the door signalling it was being locked from the outside again. She understood that she was harsh, but she wanted to be selfish this time. She didn't want Seth to suck her blood anymore and if she had to deny his request for that, she would do it.

Just then, the door clicked open once again to reveal the same girl. Abby, annoyed immediately she saw the bowed head of the girl stood up.

"Princess, the Prince demands that you dine with him."

Oh. So now he's demanding?

"Tell him that I am not hungry at the..." Abby's stomach growled, disapproving of her words. Her face flushed red as the girl looked up at her, but it immediately disappeared when she saw the huge bruise on the side of her face. Her cheek had swollen up from the blow and her lip was busted. Abby rushed over to the girl with wide eyes.

"What happened? Who did this to you?!" Tears filled the girl's as she looked down at the ground.

"Prince Seth." The tears flowed down the girl's cheeks and she closed her eyes tightly, willing them to stop. Abby rose her hand and gently touched the girls bruised lip making her wince. Abby pulled her hand away.

"Fine," she muttered, folding her hands into fists. She couldn't let these things happen to innocent girls because of her.

"I will go..."

In no time, Abby was dressed in a silky dark blue gown. It had a transparent robe to cover up the long sleeved dark blue crop top that was on the inside and a dark floor length skirt that hung low on her hips to showcase her navel. The skirt's transparent cover flowed around her on the ground below as the silk material stopped at her ankles. She was given no shoes and her hair was left down with no makeup done on her face. Abby was worn no jewellery and was led out of the room she had been kept in.

As she silently followed after the beaten up maid, Abby noticed the guards watching her with lust filled eyes, but she ignored them and kept moving forward, not daring to lock eyes with any of them. Soon, the golden doors were pulled open revealing a calm Seth seated at the table. Immediately Abby was in sight, he waved away all the maids and the door was hurriedly closed behind them. Abby turned, watching the closed doors before turning around to lock eyes with Seth.

Seth didn't make a sound or eat the food that was already on the table, but continued to watch her. Abby suddenly felt scared at his unblinking grey eyes but stood her ground, folding her arms defiantly to stop herself from running away.

"Is this how you treat people?" Seth didn't make any signs of speaking and Abby swallowed fearfully, not sure if she shouldn't have spoken.

"When they don't give me the answers I'm expecting, I have to make them," Seth spoke all of a sudden and Abby's eyes snapped to his and away from the ground that seemed intriguing to her at the moment. Her eyes narrowed at him as she found the courage to continue speaking.

"That was a little girl! She didn't even know what you were expecting, she was just doing what she was supposed to..."

"It was supposed to bring you into this very room. I needed to lose some extra aggression." Seth shrugged nonchalantly.

"It? That is a human being!"

"Not when it's here." Abby couldn't believe what she was hearing. Could he hear himself?!

"Just because she's a maid here doesn't make her any less of a human..."

"Slave. She's a slave, and those are a complete wastes of space. They are only used for entertainment, pleasure and food..." Abby's hand fell over her lips in shock and disgust. Her eyes watered for no reason in particular.

"You're sick." Abby shook her head, tears falling over her cheeks. This was too much for her to handle. The air grew heavy and Abby opened her eyes to see Seth in front of her, his eyes glowing a burning amber color. Abby gasped, pushing away from him and slamming into the door. Seth lip curved into an amused smile from her reaction before he turned and walked towards the table and sat in his seat once more.

Abby took a while to regain her breath. Seth watched her with amusement dancing in his eyes.

"Come on," he starts. "—I don't bite..." Seth purposefully smiled revealing his gleaming fangs and Abby couldn't help but widen her eyes in fear. Those were the same fangs that bit into her flesh.

"It's not funny," she found herself saying when Seth burst into laughter. Abby kept her head down in shame as she walked over to the seat farthest from him and descended. Seth didn't say anything but just clapped his hands letting the maids know it's time to bring in the food. They trooped in without saying a word or looking anyone in the eye. They bowed and quickly arranged the food on the table before rushing out of the room with a quick bow. Abby turned to look at the doors that had closed shut after the maids scurried out for a while and turned to look at Seth whose smirk widened.

"Let's eat."
