The Revival Of Ra

(PAST EXPERIENCE) 1

Standing in front of the numerous nurses that stood in the room, Seth and his brother Cepos couldn't help but watch all of them closely.

"As you all know, you have been called to perform in a special mission based on getting some twins," Cepos started, turning to walk around the long length of the living room the group stood in.

"Like you all, other nurses have tried to find some twins for us and so far we have found it quite hard to succeed..." Cepos stopped for a while and turned to look at the group of nurses again with a frown. "You are another batch of people we would need for this mission. As far as we are concerned, you all will be paid in millions of any currency you can name, just bring us the twins according to these conditions."

Nodding over to a chubby smallish looking man with glasses, the man immediately handed some papers over to all the nurses. As they read the papers, Cepos continued to speak. "As written on the papers you all have received, these pair of twins would be rather strange looking. We don't know anything specific about what they would look like, but we know that they'll would have something strange about them that you'll know when you see."

A nurse raised his hand and Cepos turned to look at him. "And what if we tell others about this plot?"

Seth didn't waste any more time to pin the man with his emotionless gaze. "We kill you."

Cepos laughed at the horror written across all the nurses faces. "Do not be afraid, as long as you follow every rule on the contract, you will be safe. Are we clear?"

The nurses nodded, "Yes sir."

Seth stood off to the side, tapping on his phone but his attention was focused on the nurses that stood together with the pair in the down floor of Seth's apartment. Most of the women and some men stared at the two brothers with interest but Seth was uninterested. They had been going on and on recruiting nurses around the world but Zeus seemed to always be ahead of them in hiding the twins. On numerous occasions, different twins had been kidnapped and killed, but nothing seemed to be working and it annoyed the hell out of him.

Walking out of the room, he moved over to the back door of his apartment and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his back pocket. Pulling out a lighter from his other one and lighting the cigarette before taking a puff. He went on and on until the back door opened and a woman stepped out. Seth turned to look at her as she started coughing, her eyes teary and red along with her soft, round face. Immediately throwing the cigar on the ground and stumping on it, he went closer to the woman and pulled her away from the vicinity. When she could finally concentrate and the redness of her eyes subsided a bit, Seth began to question her.

"What do you want?"

The woman, now able to speak as she cleared her throat replied, "I have a question and your brother had left before I could ask..." Taking in a deep breath, the woman continued, "I'm a midwife at the city hospital. What if I and my friends fail to get the babies?"

Seth smirked, "You're a midwife? That means you get the view of the baby first hand. But if you can't, then we just have to wipe your memory and leave you without a single trace of who you are."

The woman blinked and just looked dumbfounded for a while before quickly nodding and walking back into the house. As Seth looked at her, he couldn't help but smirk, she wasn't really ugly. She was actually really beautiful with her wavy blonde hair and emerald green eyes, it was a beautiful match compared to the usual boring blue eyes and tacky blonde hair. And to think of it, she actually had some nice curves to her body, his smirk broadened as he thought of all the things he could do to her, but he immediately let it go as he heard his brother's voice behind him.

"We've currently conquered the city hospital in New York..." Seth quietly took out another cig and handed him the pack of cigarettes and a lighter after he had lit the one he nursed between his lips. Taking out one, Cepos continued to speak, "It won't be long until we find them..."

Letting out a snort, Seth spoke, "This is the thirtieth hospital. I'm beginning to think that Zeus is outsmarting us..."

Cepos exhaled slowly, letting the smoke escape his lips. "You do know the longer we delay this the more animalistic we become. As Ra's patience wears thin, he will take away his power and make us devilish creatures that yearn for blood. We'll become more cruel as the day passes."

Seth smiled, "I don't think I can grow worse than this."

Now it was Cepos' time to snort, "You'll find a way... I often found myself wondering if it's the curse making you sleep with numerous women or just your hormones..."

"The whole cat and mouse chase has left me emotionally unstable. I've found a way to channel all that anger into a night full of sex, and I believe its progress." Seth smiled, remembering the midwife who just walked out a while ago, not knowing his brother was watching with a sly smile.

"You've got your eyes set on someone..." Seth smirked.

"And she's here I presume?" Seth's smirk broadened into a sly smile.

"What makes you think it's not a he?"

Cepos laughed. "As crazy as you are Seth, I know how much you respect your boundaries."

Seth shrugged. "Who knows? I might not even have boundaries in the next few years. I'll be ready to do anything cause I'll be more animal than human."

"And who knows? We might just find the twins right now..."

Seth snorted, "Fat chance."

Frowning, Cepos turned to ask his brother. "And why do you think that?"

Taking another puff of his cigarette, Seth smiled, but Cepos could see how the smile didn't reach his eyes as he suddenly turned to stare at him. His eyes dead and a swirling pool of lonely grey. "Cause with every passing minute, I can feel my humanity tearing away and revealing scary thoughts of what I could never want to do but somehow want to do. I can feel my self control wearing thinner and revealing something horrible...something I don't want to ever become."

Cepos placed his hand on his brother's shoulder comfortingly. "Hey. We will get through this..."

Shrugging off his brother's hand and throwing his cigarette down to stomp on it, Seth turned to stare at his brother with dead, scary eyes and a lone smile. "Good luck."
