Abigail's pov
Vol.2:

Waking up to the familiar cries of a smaller being, Abby rolled around for a while before switching on the lights. Looking over to the side of her bed, she sat up as soon as she saw the dark blue cradle.

Standing up to her full height, Abby couldn't help but smile as she peered into the cradle and saw the familiar looking face of her son.

Reaching her hands into the cradle, she carried the month old boy into her arms and rocked him softly while she simultaneously walked over to the wooden chair... The only chair she had in the room.

Abby placed the boy on her thighs as she sat on the chair... "Why are you crying, baby?" She whispered to him, but the baby continued to cry, although his voice wasn't as loud as it was before.

"Alright. That's enough," Abby frowned, looking at her child sternly as she pointed a finger at him. The child stopped crying, as if he understood what his mother was saying and wrapped his hands around her finger that still pointed straight at him.

"You're so perfect," Abby whispered again to the unknowing boy, giving him a kiss on his cheek, to which he giggled, using his hands to hold her face. Abby peered into his eyes, his unending blue eyes that seemed to remind Abby of a calm ocean, where nothing could ever go wrong. "If only everything could be as perfect as you..." Abby closed her eyes and sighed, feeling a tear roll down her cheek.

The baby continued to play with Abby's finger, completely unaware of his mother's state.

Despite the fact that Abby's pregnancy had been a bizarre experience, when Abby had given birth to Roman, he was just fine, the doctors told her that he was completely healthy... However, Abby couldn't help but notice that her baby wasn't quite normal... For one, the few strands of hair Roman had on his head were completely white, his eyes were unlike any Abby had seen, they were unusual...very beautiful and yet scary as well..

That wasn't all though, Abby seemed to notice a change in herself as well, Abby's swollen belly has returned back to being as flat as it had been before she got pregnant, there was no extra skin, and Abby didn't do any exercises to get her body back in shape, it did it all on its own. Abby's features did not change much as well, exempting the white hair she had growing from the front lines of hair that contrasted sharply with her remaining black, Abby remained the same...like she had never given birth at all...

"If only everything could be normal and I could've had you under different circumstances," Abby kissed the cheek of her son, the pain in her heart didn't make her love him any less. Despite the fact that she hated his fathers with every fibre of her being. Roman was her world, her beginning and her end, she didn't know if she could live without him, she didn't even want to think of it.

"I love you..."

"Morning," Abby muttered groggily to a happy Desmond.. She was always in a good mood in the mornings.

"Good Morning, Abigail!" Desmond replied cheerfully, looking over her shoulder to look at Abby, shaking her head as she took in Abby's disheveled state, from her messy bed hair, down to her bloodshot eyes and chapped mouth that looked like it would permanently be in a frown, stopping at her wrinkled clothes, Desmond smiled to herself as she said, "You know, I'm not even surprised anymore..."

"Surprised about what?" Abby asked as she sat in a kitchen stool.

"About the fact that you seem to always look like this every morning..."

At the sound of that, Abby burst out laughing. "Partially true...but its not my fault that being a mom is so stressful. I always believed having children was the best feeling in the world... I never knew it would be this  stressful."
