Abigail's pov
Going to school as Rea again was hard for Abby, considering every thing that had happened the day before, but she wasn't going to let that jeopardize her sister's reputation; she was going to accept the fact that Jacobi liked her sister and not her, she was going to apologise to Jacobi and play it cool.
Her mind was made up as she walked into the school: she was going to apologise to Jacobi, act normal with Rosa and tutor Trent without telling Rea in order not to destroy her oh so perfect reputation by letting everyone know she isn't the best Chemistry student when Trent fails horribly since the only thing her oh so perfect sister could give him would be a good time in bed... Abby rolled her eyes at that; she wasn't going to tell her sister, she was going to make Trent pass this test and be out of her sister's life: Abby took in a deep breath when she spotted Jacobi talking to his friends; she needed to make this right...
"Hey guys!" She greeted when she got to their group before turning to Jacobi.
"Can I...talk to you for a moment?" He paused for a while, his face emotionless before nodding.
"Yeah, sure. Be right back, guys." With that, he followed after Abby who was fiddling nervously with her fingers and fidgeting around, thinking of how to start.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" He asked once they had reached a safe distance away from the group.
"I wanted to...apologise for yesterday, I had jumped to conclusions and was feeling really bad for...my sister who had this major crush on you..." He nodded, his face still impassive before he locked eyes with her, worry finally in his gaze.
"So, are you okay now?" She furrowed her brows at him, a nervous smile still on her lips.
"What?"
"Yeah, cause you were sick yesterday..." She nodded.
"Oh that? Oh, yeah! Yeah, totally, just wasn't feeling myself..." She didn't lie, but she didn't tell him the whole truth either: Jacobi nodded.
"I'm glad you're okay now..." His ears tinged red as a nervous smile grew on his lips when Abby beamed at him, his words had practically melted her icy heart; guess he really did like her sister...
"As am I..." The environment grew awkward as the pair didn't know what to say anymore.
"So, uh, yeah; I have to leave cause...I gotta go pick up my books..." Jacobi nodded in understanding at Abby's statement before scratching his neck.
"Y-Yeah, I gotta go too..." Abby nodded.
"See you?" He nodded and at the same time Abby brought out her hand to shake, he brought out his to hug her: the two paused, looking at each other before doing what the other did at the same time; they both chuckled nervously, their cheeks and ears turning red.
"High... five?" Abby suggested with her hand up in the air, Jacobi gave her a high five with a huge grin on his face. Immediately they were done, the two tried to walk but blocked each other's way, they blushed and tried once more but the same result; Abby's cheeks grew hot and she gave him a nervous grin before turning around and walking away, feeling his eyes burning into the back of her head. She took in a deep breath when she was a safe distance away from him, holding her knees and panting like she had just ran cross-country; that was when she felt a presence in front of her, she looked up and glared at who she saw.
"You didn't show up yesterday..." Trent scoffed.
"—Guess you were lacing up to hoe around some more with that douche." Abby stood up to her full height, her arms circling around her chest.
"What do you want Trent?" She said his name with such bitterness like it was even disgusting to say: Trent smirked.
"Oh nothing: just wanted to know when my girlfriend's gonna stop thinking with her little friend living down south and start thinking with her head..." Everyone who watched their intake ooed at that and Abby scoffed, unaffected by Trent's words.
"At least I'm not a man whore..." She rolled her eyes when yet another reaction was gotten from the crowd that was forming around them.
"—I don't have time for this." Abby said, about to walk away when she was twirled around and slammed on the lockers, her teeth rattling at the force of the hit. Trent pulled his head down to her height, their faces inches apart.
"Now you don't talk to me like that and expect to walk away freely, do you?" Abby's nose wrinkled in distaste, she completely hated everything about the pig and wanted to spit on him more than anything, but she couldn't deny the fear that seeped up her skin: she glared at him.
"If it's the tutoring thing you want, I'll do it today; I wasn't feeling well yesterday..."
"Sure you weren't," Trent scoffed before pulling his mouth to her ear.
"I would expect that after the little stunt you pulled with Mr. Montgomery; that isn't very Rea like, don't you think?" Abby was frozen in fear.
Did he know?
Trent pulled back with a wider smirk on his face when he saw the fear in Abby's eyes.
"Be at the parking lot at the end of the day; you wouldn't want to know what I'll do if I don't find you there..." Abby's eyes widened and Trent's smirk grew wider than ever before he pulled away after blowing her a kiss, effectively earning a lot of wolf whistles and compliments when Abby was stunned silent, her back still pressed against the lockers in fear. Trent left the scene with his friends patting his shoulder and saying that he was the man but he turned to give Abby a wink before he left the scene finally.
Abby felt tears prick her eyes, but she dare not cry because of the nitwit, she couldn't let Rea be bothered about this douche who was going to try and take advantage of her like all the times before; she was doing this for Rea and not for herself so she had to be strong...for Rea...
