Abigail's pov
"What's that supposed to mean?" Abby asked her sister in a soft voice. Rea gave her a dazzling smile.
"It means that I'll act as you, and you'll act as me for a week," Rea said with a short nod of her head. Abby scoffed.
"That's ridiculous." Rea shook her head at her.
"There are no downs in this plan," Abby scoffed once more.
"Our parents?" Rea snorted at that.
"Please, they couldn't even see the difference between us this morning! I'll be good as you, promise."
"And your hair?" Abby asked her with a raise of her eyebrow and Rea yawned.
"Extensions were made for a reason, ya know?"
"Certainly not for deceit..." Rea rolled her eyes at that.
"—Can you not be so sarcastic?" It was Abby's turn to roll her eyes.
"And your friends?" Abby asked Rea.
"As long as you're not your snarky self, you'll be fine..." Abby shook her head at that.
"Oh no, no, no! I can't become social all of a sudden...What about your cheerleading practice and your over aged boyfriend?" Rea rolled her eyes.
"We can always exchange clothes before that, and he doesn't have to know..." Abby shook her head again.
"This isn't right. I can't communicate with the kind of people you do..." Rea placed a hand over Abby's mouth.
"Sh! You will do this!—" She gently shook Abby's shoulders. "—You can feel how it is to live in my world and be me!..."
"—That's the thing! I don't want to be you!" Abby interjected.
"—I want to be me! I want to be my own person." Rea frowned at her sister.
"That's what I mean, Abby. I want you to feel how it is to be you but pretending to be me. I want you to know how it feels to be known everywhere and for me to be mistaken as you..." Abby thought over it for a while.
"You do have a point..." She trailed off.
"Come on, Abby. Don't be a chicken..."
"Fine!" Rea grinned at her sister and they shook hands silently. Abby already having a deep gut feeling that she was going to regret this decision...
"The day starts tomorrow, we'll head to the salon today... I'll get my nails done like yours, and yours done like mine..." Abby nodded at that, about to speak but the school bell cut her off signaling everyone to get in class.
Abby smiled at her sister who waved her good bye and ran out of the bathroom: Abby turned to the mirror and dabbed the running eyeliner off of her eyes, she splashed some water on her face and cleaned up with a paper towel. She rushed out of the bathroom, not wanting to have to say hi to the hall monitor and get detention waiting for her at the end of the day; she already had plans to see the world through her twins eyes.
Running towards her lockers, she opened it with shaky hands, whipping her head around wildly to see if the hall monitor would pop out and scream, "Detention!"
After getting her English and Literature books, she slammed her locker shut and ran to her first class. Slamming the door open, she was met with a class full of shocked students and her teacher shocked as well.
"Morning..." She mumbled to the teacher and walked to her seat at the front of the class to find it already occupied by some girl who had probably found out the reason why she chose the seat: it was closer to Jacobi Bryant's that was right next to it. The blonde bimbo sent a smirk her way and she glared at her.
