Abigail's pov

Abby was broken, exhausted and in much pain as Ahura pressed the steamed wet towel against her bite marks, wiping off the blood and trying to give it a push to heal faster. Abby could feel the tears sting her eyes as a wince would break out of her lips when the pain got too much, Ahura doing her best to blow and fan the heat away but it did nothing to stop Abby from feeling pitiful about her life. Abby pushed Ahura' hands away when she wanted to press her wounds once more.

"No." Ahura looked at her, confused with tears in her eyes.

"I want to be alone." Without looking in the direction of her personal maid, Abby rolled over on her good shoulder to stare at the wall with tears still flowing down her cheeks.

"But princess..."

"I said you should leave!" Abby couldn't help but snap out when she felt it all getting too much. Ahura, tears in her eyes nodded slowly and turned to walk out of the room, closing it softly behind her. Abby not caring to look at the door curled up in a ball on the bed and began crying her eyes out. When was it all going to end? When was her suffering going to end? She had been in Egypt for merely three days and she was already broken, shaking and sobbing? Life with Seth was horrible, the legends of Egypt were too much for her to handle and the fact that simple names could have such an effect on her future was something that Abby was sure to hold against her parents. As Abby wallowed in her pain and inner turmoil, there was a knock on her door, interrupting her private moment.

Abby didn't care to answer it as the tears kept falling, until another series of knocks came from the other side of the room. Abby sat up with much discomfort and winces to show it, placing her feet on the dry ground, she stood up on wobbly and shaking legs but forced herself to get to the door. She wiped away her tears as she stood there, expecting someone to open up the door but there wasn't even knocking on the door anymore. Abby found her eyes venturing down the wooden door to the bare floor, a neat looking envelope just by the door catching her eye.

Ignoring the pain that racked through her body, Abby bent down to pick up the envelope, inspecting it closely. Pale, stainless white made up the entire envelope, thin golden swirls around the corners and sides. It had no name on it or stamp and that seemed weird to Abby, but she didn't say it and opened up the envelope to see a little golden paper folded into a tiny square. She picked it up and inspected it before opening the square, careful for it not to touch the wounds on her right palm. As Abby opened the paper, it became a huge one with different lines. A red line circled around an area with a disco ball and the same red line led out a door to a toilet.

Abby's eyes widened as she realised what it was. It was a map and the red lines indicated where she and Ahura could escape through. Abby threw her hand into the envelope again, searching for any sign of who left it. The only thing she found was a little white rectangle.

Go through here, I'll handle the rest.

Those words weren't quite assuring but Abby felt anything would be better than the hellhole she was stuck in. She couldn't help but kiss the envelope over and over, thanking whoever left it, but what she did notice was that she could feel the breeze once more on her lips while kissing the envelope. How was that even possible? Abby looked into her hands to find out that they were empty and grasping at nothing.

Just then, a knock resonated from the other side of the door again, and this time she heard a voice she recognised as Ahura'.

"Princess, may I come in?" Abby cleared her throat to compose herself.

"Go ahead." She turned around and headed towards the bed, sitting just as the door opened.

"Princess, it is time for the afternoon meals and Prince Sethos requests your presence." Abby didn't realise how much time had passed by while she cried...
