You sat at the dinner table with the Weasley family next to your boyfriend Fred. This was the first real new years you had with an actual family and it felt really special to you. You had two hours before the ball dropped so you spent that time helping Molly clean up "oh dear go spend time with your boyfriend" she smiled and looked at you "hes busy playing quidditch outside with Harry and George, its the least i can do." you placed a clean dish in a drying rack.

She smiled and turned off the water and shaking the excess water off of her hands "well i appreciate it." you nodded and walked into the sitting area with Ginny who was staring into space. You sat down next to her and giggled "hey gigi" that was a nickname you always called her since she was a year younger than you "hey y/n." Ginny said turning towards you and smiling. You nudged her "hows it going with Harry?" her cheeks flashed a bright pink color "y/n shhh.." she panicked and that made you giggle "you should shoot your shot!" you shook her and she shook her head.

You frowned "why not gigi?" you whined and stood up "because he might not like me like that!" she argued back but you knew Harry.. all he did was gush about Ginny. You couldn't tell her that of course it would totally ruin the midnight surprise. Your thoughts were interuptted when a pair of arms wrapped around your waist and a very tall, out of breath ginger headed male kissed your cheek "hey love" he smiled trying to catch his breath. You giggled "hey Freddie" you went to kiss his lips but he pulled away "forbidden until midnight." you pouted and crossed your arms "bloody git.." you mumbled under your breath which made him giggle.

He sat on the couch and opened his arms signaling he wanted you sit with him. You sat down and cuddled into his side watching Harry and Ginny flirt back and fourth and let Fred mumble sweet things into your ear. George was on the couch with his girlfriend and Ron was upstairs with Hermione doing god knows what.. you didn't want to know. Molly had announced it was officially one hour until
midnight which you couldn't wait because it would be your first new years kiss with someone you absolutely adore.

You tried to sneak a few kisses here and there but Fred kept either covering his lips or pushing you away "Fred pleaseee just one little peck?" you begged but you knew Fred was stubborn "no darling you have to wait" he teased and stood up tapping Harry on the shoulder "one more match?" he smirked looking around at the boys. They all nodded and ran out the door almost falling over themselfs "boys don't break anything!" Molly groaned and placed her hands on her hips. They all shouted sorry but it could barely be heard as they were already out at the field.

-5 minutes until midnight-

Molly called the boys back inside "Hurry up! its almost midnight!" she waved her rag in the air to which all the boys came running towards her. She quickly moved out of the way as the stumbled through the door covered in sweat and trying to catch their breaths. Fred winked at you which made your legs go weak almost making you fall "get over here Freddie!" you laughed and watched as he jumped over the couch to get to you.

Fred took you by the waist and kissed you passionately holding you close so you couldn't pull away. You instantly melted into the kiss and smiled, you couldn't help but blush all over. After pulling away for oxygen you giggled "Happy new year Bubba.." you whispered to him and kissed him again for even longer than before.
