My Love; My Life: Slipping Through My Fingers

Zin's New Friends & B2's B. F.

*From this chapter onward, the main timeline will be going from the year 2042 onwards*
Setting: end of 2041-2042 school year...

After years of being home schooled by Sheldon, & slowly working her way to talk to people again, Zinnia-now in about 16/17 years old-decided that it was time she tried stepping out of her comfort zone, go to public school & make friends. She does so despite her father & twin being against it-she has everyone else on her side, telling her father things like: it's in her best interest, he can't protect her from everything & that it'll be tougher for her to adjust to a normal life or make friends later down the road if she doesn't. Sheldon begrudgingly agrees to it, while B2 made it very clear with looks & his attitude alone that he still didn't agree with her going to public school. But despite disagreeing with with his twin's choice, B2 still agrees to drive her to school on his way to college where he's studying to become a neurologist. They currently sit in the car in silence as he drives her to school...

"B2," Zin says as she gets out of the car

"..." he just eyes her

"Thanks for driving me," she tells him with a smile

"You're the last of us cousins to go through this school," he reminds her, "people may expect you'll act as if your queen of the school," he tells her, "but don't go feeling you have to live up to or follow that."

"Hm," she nods timidity

"What is it?" He asks her in an annoyed tone

"Are you mad at me B2?" She asks quietly, "why don't you and dad want me to come here?"

"I'm gonna be late to class Zin," he tells her, "huh," he sighs out, "it may help you adjust into the real world," he starts, "but people can be cruel in any school a person goes to," he explains, "I just don't think you're ready to handle the possibility of getting bullied, and none of us will be here to-"

"I'll be fine B2," she cuts him off, "I promise," she adds in, "I've-actually-made a friend."

"A friend hm?" He asks not seeming to believe her, "what's her name?"

"ZIN!" A voice suddenly comes shouting from where the school entrance is

"X!" She shouts back as she turns & waves to a boy

"HURRY UP, WE'LL BE LATE!"

"COMING!"

"So your friends a guy hm?"

"Well uh-that is to say," she stammers to her brother as her face grows red, "I mean-"

"The parental units aren't going to be happy about this," he mutters to her, "especially dad."

"Mmm," her blush seems to deepen at his words

"I won't tell," he says to her, "but try to make some female friends too-ok?"

"Ok," she says quietly

"ZINNIA!"

COMING XAVIER!" She shouts back

"Have a good day Zin!" B2 shouts as she goes running off

"YOU TOO B2!" She shouts back as she runs off, "SEE YOU LATER!"

"Huh," B2 laughs a little & smiles as he drives off

Zin rushes up to her friend & walks into school with him as B2 drives off to make it to his college classes; Zin & Xavier talk as well as laugh on their walk down the hall to their lockers. Ever since her first day, Zin more or less went out of her way to avoid bullies-getting bullied or being one, so she was just a bystander. She didn't talk to anyone when she first started & kept to herself as she payed attention to her classes while ignoring the people gossiping about her, her family & eventually, her friendship with Xavier...
